Travel-wise, I’ve sort of tried it all. From all-inclusive luxury stays to backcountry camping in Botswana and dirtbag van touring around the world. I’m always one to jump on that next great deal and explore a new place. Lately, my travel style has followed a path of slowing down and focusing on deeper connections with the places I travel. On our last big trip, my wife and I biked around northern Italy for two weeks and really focused in on the deep regional experiences of many places I had just watched pass by in the train window on previous trips. Needless to say, I’m more than comfortable doing everything from booking a fully prepared Italian itinerary with 5-star accommodation to planning a backcountry hike to a lost city in Colombia.
