My Story
Midwest native who’s moved around a bit. Hotel lover with my next trip (or five) always in the calendar.
My Travel Style
City break aficionado who believes a great hotel (and pool!) can make a trip. I love visiting new places as well as old favorites, especially to keep up with the food & drink scene.

Long Weekend in Montreal
Despite traveling just north of the U.S. border, touching down in Montreal makes you feel like you’ve traveled much further…specifically to France. Culturally unique, French-speaking, and full of both “old and new”-world charm, Montreal is a perfect destination for a long weekend or stopping point on a broader Canada expedition. Montreal is a large city with several neighborhoods meaning there is no shortage of things to see, and there are plenty of places to stop for a bite or drink in between. With French-Canadian roots its no surprise that Montreal is home to many excellent wine bars and brasseries, however, in recent years the city’s food and drink scene has expanded widely, with everything from Vietnamese cuisine to microbreweries becoming favorites for locals and visitors alike. Montreal has a little bit of everything, and is great for visiting year round… though do bundle up if it’s winter!
