Our Story
Ex-hotelier turned travel advisor. I've always wanted to ride on the baggage claim carousels at the airport.
Travel Style
For me, the perfect holiday is a mix of comfort and relaxation with just enough sightseeing and exploring. No jam-packed itineraries, please! I always find time to visit a local independent bookstore and locate the best spot to grab a scoop of ice cream.

We had a fantastic stay at NOPSI Hotel, made even better by working with Claire. She got us a great rate, then noticed when prices dropped after we booked and made sure we got the lower price — that kind of proactive care really stood out. Communication was excellent throughout, and we also received complimentary breakfast each day which was a wonderful bonus. We’ll definitely be booking with Always Elsewhere Travel again!

We had an excellent booking experience with Claire Rodrigues! She was extremely patient with all of our questions and made sure we felt confident every step of the way. Communication was always timely and clear, and she truly took our preferences into account when making recommendations. We especially appreciated how she checked in with us before our trip to make sure everything was set, including confirming our shuttle to the resort was booked. The entire process was seamless and stress-free—we’re so grateful for her support and would absolutely work with Claire again for future trips!

Claire was so easy to work with, the Excellence is historically not the greatest at communicating with big group reservations but she stayed on top of them and ensured we had the best trip! Can not thank her enough for taking the stress of planning off of my shoulders and making this an incredible 40th birthday friend trip for my husband.

Claire was extremely responsive and well versed on the various travel options available to us. She offered suggestions but always followed up with us as to our goals and aspirations for this family bucket list vacation experience. We will use Claire in the future to help plan upcoming trips.

Claire was incredible to work with! She heard my vision for a trip and made it a reality with ease, with a few special additions that I hadn't even thought of. Communication was clear and effective, and especially necessary when I had mistaken my reservation and she was there to instantly fix it. 10/10 couldn't imagine a better trip without her guidance and help.

Rhode Island Undiscovered
When I lived in Providence, I had the opportunity to explore almost every little town in the smallest state. Yes, there’s Newport, which everyone knows about and is, of course, a must-do—but what about the lesser-known areas that have just as much charm (and maybe less tourists)? These are my top recommendations of places to visit and restaurants to enjoy in the Ocean State that are well-known to locals but less so to visitors.

Things to Do in Providence, Rhode Island
The capital of the smallest state in the U.S.- Providence, RI is rich with history and full of New England charm. From local farmers markets and annual city festivals to quirky gift shops and modern (delicious) restaurants set in historic landmarks, Providence has a ton of things for visitors to do. I’ve scouted out all of the best spots for you over five years of living here and can’t wait for you to fall in love with PVD.
