From Land to Sea: Aboard the Scarlet Lady
I went on a seven-night round-trip "French Daze and Ibiza Nights" cruise from Barcelona with Virgin Voyages on their Scarlet Lady ship, with a late stay in Palma Mallorca and an overnight stay in Ibiza. Sailing out of the Port of Barcelona provided an excellent opportunity to experience this wonderful city. Arriving two days before the cruise, I secured tours of the awe-inspiring Sagrada Familia, caught a late-night flamenco show and took a rooftop tango lesson. The main deciding factor in booking this particular cruise, and the highlight of my trip to Barcelona, was visiting the FC Barcelona Museum. The museum is very interactive, with past and present players featured, and the trophies in the Champions Hall are also viewable. I was able to get a player's card and a customized jersey. Unfortunately, I was unable to catch a home game during my visit, but I plan to visit again when the new stadium is completed.
