Our Story
I’m a language lover and cultural enthusiast. After living abroad three times at different stages of my life, I learned that the most meaningful travel isn’t about checking boxes. It’s about connection. It’s about understanding cultural nuance, stepping outside your comfort zone, and seeing the world through a different lens.
That belief is what led me here. I design intentional, immersive journeys for travelers who want more than a vacation—they want perspective, connection, and experiences that stay with them long after they return home.
Travel Style
I travel to experience a place, not just see it. The magic is in the human moments-a taxi driver’s favorite late-night kebab spot, a hotelier proud to share his hometown, a trusted local guide who opens doors you’d never find on your own.
That’s why I design trips around boutique hotels, and distinctive stays rather than places that feel cold or corporate. The right setting changes everything.
I’m always looking to go beneath the surface…to help my clients truly feel a destination. Every itinerary I create is built with intention, authenticity, and the goal of making it the best trip yet.

This is our third vacation with Fora, working with Christie Sweaney as our travel consultant. All of our trips have been outstanding! Our last trip to Spain was phenomenal. Christie worked with a partner in Spain, The Real Thing, which ensured the collaborated itinerary fit my husband and my travel styles and interests.
The hotels, guides, and the experiences we had were all 5-star! Our trip included stays in Barcelona, Granada, Ronda and Sevilla with side trips to Malaga and Cordoba. Each location provided a unique perspective of Spain -- from a phenomenal hotel in Ronda that was an old olive mill to a truly amazing experience in Sevilla at a private equestrian hacienda. Christie and her partners made recommendations that created special memories -- many events and locations which would have been very hard to find or book on our own. Ensuring the trip is flawless and each interaction, whether from hotel staff or guides, is enjoyable and top-notch is integral to the reason we work with Christie repeatedly.
Christie is by far the best travel advisor we have worked with. She is on top of each detail to ensure a seamless and memorable trip. Christie goes far beyond most in her attention to detail and follow up. A recent example is her help handling a driving ticket we received that was written entirely in Spanish and which we could not translate. She worked with the team in Spain to give us the information we needed to settle the ticket, took her time to research the payment site when we had trouble accessing it, and made sure we were able to use the site. This is a small example of her dedication to her clients. She works hard to ensure her clients' satisfaction in all aspects of their travel. And, on top of it all, she is such a fun, knowledgeable and wonderful person to work with!

It was a pleasure working with Christie on our short trip to Charleston. She quickly understood our travel style and recommended the Hotel Bennett which was a perfect match for us. This is not just a ski destination—there are spectacular jagged mountains, unending outdoor adventure, cozy alpine hotels, idyllic wellness retreats, incredible food and wine, and a diverse, multi-faceted culture all coming together in an action-packed feast for the senses.
