My travel mantra is simple - experience something new, be thankful for the opportunity to do it. When I’m planning a trip, I seek out memorable experiences, the stories I will be excited to share later. I then find opportunities to work in low-stress local spots for some people watching. When traveling alone, you’ll typically find me taking the first few hours of a trip to get to know the city, making friends with the waitstaff to gain local tips. The next day, you may find me doing something completely new, like sandboarding in the desert. The best trips are not all action though; I like striking a balance between activity and recharge moments, local vs familiar and cost-effective versus splurge moments. I also believe you can find fun in most destinations if you look closely enough.
