Oenophile arachnophobe who enjoys getting out into nature just as much as cozying up on her couch at home with a tea.
My Travel Style
I’m that person who has a million tabs open when researching and booking travel, squinting in on all the pictures I can find to see if a hotel looks clean, cared for, with un-lumpy mattresses and good lighting. I love the thrill of finding that perfect stay, that perfect transportation plan and that perfect coffee shop, in advance, but also in the moment, of the moment. My specialty for adult travel is that special experience, whether it’s a boutique or luxury property. When I travel with my kids, I work hard to balance a memorable experience for our family with comfort, value and practicality.
When I travel, my priorities are:
- Local food & drinks that I will remember when I return home
- Experiencing the local culture through art and architecture
- Finding tasteful, unique gifts & items
- Balancing family-friendly travel with solo & adult-friendly activities

Carly absolutely nailed it with every element of our trip to London and Oxford. It was my first time planning an international trip, and for a surprise engagement for my now fiance. Carly was just the kind of pilot I needed to help steer my travel and itinerary to a spectacular show of thoughtfulness and love that ended our trip with an accomplishing "YES!" Carly listen to all the details I was hoping to put into the trip, provided stellar suggestions, and made the itinerary planning and booking experience so seamless. She helped me carefully craft and curate a trip that matched my vision perfectly. Carly also went above and beyond with every opportunity. She coordinated our travel flawlessly and with such attention to timing and pace. She communicated with our hotel concierge to set up a surprise room upgrade and pastries upon our arrival. She picked out a hotel that exceeded our expectations with its class and charm. She also helped us find an amazing photographer and a private walking history-tour for our visit to Oxford. Carly put in the kind of thoughtfulness and attention to detail as if she was taking the trip with us, and my experience working with Carly made for a truly memorable experience. If you're considering a travel advisor with Fora, look no further than Carly! I would give her my highest of recommendations.

3 days in Milan and Turin
Milan is a hive of energy, fashion and history. I’ve been several times to visit a close friend, and each time we go somewhere new. While only 80 miles east of Milan, Turin (Torino) feels like a smaller-scale Milan that is livable, walkable and historical; it was the first capital of Italy after the unification of Italy before the capital moved first to Florence then to Rome. Spend a long weekend in these two cities for a taste of Lombardy and Piedmont, a perfect way to start or end your trip in Italy.

Seattle: The Hidden Winter Gem
The Pacific Northwest has an interesting reputation. Known for its towering evergreen forests and Sleepless in Seattle, many people think it’s all coffee, flannel and tech. What many don’t know is that Seattle has something for everyone and while you might not expect it, it’s a wonderful place to visit in the fall and winter seasons with the more moderate temperatures. The Seattle area lights up in the summer season (hello, Lake WA and Lake Union), but really shines during its core more-grey months.
