My Story
Native NY-er living the coastal dream in Charleston, SC. Whether I'm uncovering new local experiences, long-weekend roadtrips, or once-in-a-lifetime journeys, I find the difference is always in the details.
My Travel Style
The local experience—with a luxurious twist. I like discovering the hidden gems and little details that can make a big difference. The nondescript restaurant that serves sushi you can taste for days. The secrets to avoiding the lines, finding the best views, and stretching your dollar (or pound, peso, yen…). But I also know sometimes all you need is a spa treatment, a bold red, and an infinity pool—especially as a mom whose had her fair share of amusement parks.

Cara is a treasure! She took the time to really find out what it was that WE were looking for, made appropriate recommendations and gave excellent advice where needed. Her itinerary was extremely comprehensive and thoughtfully put together.
You are in excellent hands with Cara and I would use no one else!!

Cara is really, really good at this. I had never used a travel agent before this past year and now that we've worked together twice, I will continue to consult with her going forward every time. She really "gets" what we like and has great suggestions every time! I also like that she is never pushy but always so helpful. I don't know how she achieves this perfect balance but I think she is intuitively just really gifted at being a travel advisor. A+!!!

Cara was a lifesaver in finding and booking a trip to Costa Rica that could not have been more perfect for me. Researching on my own, I was overwhelmed by options and reached out to her for help. She quickly identified quality trips that met my criteria including some I would not have found on my own. Cara guided me through the decision-making process with patience and quick communication, answering all my questions and seeking additional details when needed. I hadn’t traveled internationally in 12 years, and Cara made feel prepared and supported throughout the process. I can’t wait to work with her again!

Where to Eat and Drink in Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston’s culinary scene is as vibrant as the city itself. From downtown to the beach towns, you’ll find eateries showcasing the area’s rich history and coastal charm. Traditional southern fare and more innovative takes on Lowcountry cuisine (plus craft coffee, beer and cocktails) cater to every palate. While it’s impossible to cover all the places, below are some of my picks for praiseworthy eateries in the Holy City.

A Weekend in Savannah with Kids
Savannah may not seem like a top destination for young families, but what the city lacks in amusement parks, it makes up for with outdoor activities, playgrounds, kid-friendly museums and a pirate-themed restaurant. Best of all, you can see and do a ton in this stunning city in just one weekend.
