As a child, my mother brought me around the world doing volunteer work. I’m not sure my school appreciated the chronic absences, but it was the best education one could hope for. By the time I was 18, I had visited India, Africa, Russia, Mexico, Central America and Europe, where I stayed and worked with locals. These experiences created an insatiable desire to experience the world as an insider and a love for slow travel.

In my 20’s, I channeled this passion into a job working as a tour manager in the music industry. I traveled for years with a world-famous artist to plan, advance and execute their tours and personal travel. This was a masterclass in providing excellent service, anticipating possible problems and curating seamless experiences no matter where we were going. I absolutely loved this season of my life, and I became to go-to person in my circle of friends for planning amazing trips.

After taking some time off to start a family, I decided to start a travel consulting company called My Friend Bekah to continue helping amazing people experience the world. I’m an expert at crafting incredible experiences that are uniquely curated for each individual client. I work with lovely people in all stages of life, including couples, groups of friends, multi-generational families, families with children and empty-nesters. My trips range from far-flung honeymoons and destination weddings to luxury but authentic excursions through Africa and India, to European vacations and Arctic expeditions.

My services are more expansive than the typical advisor. I am fluent in ultra-luxury necessities like private jet charters, penthouse suites, heli transit and private villas with a 5-star chef. I’m also a points fanatic, and even though most agents won’t help you with points, I’ll happily transform your AMEX or Chase points into lie-flat first class suites or economy tickets for your entire extended family. Most importantly, I always want my clients to get a good value for their money and I’ll always present you with insider knowledge and a chance to really experience your destination.

My personal go-to places that I visit again and again are Hawaii, Mexico and Costa Rica. These are easy family destinations for west-coasters like me.
