I'll be the first to admit that this 10-day road trip through the south of Spain will not even begin to scratch the surface of all that Andalusia has to offer. The Muslim, Christian and Jewish influence in the region has created an architecturally and historically diverse region that is home to so much more than just amazing wine and food. If you have the time, add a few days in each city or take time to stop at more off-the-beaten-path destinations. So, vamos! We're going on a road trip.

There is a palpable romanticism about Venice. From the moment you arrive, the sheer preposterousness of the city's construction makes every turn a mystery. The maze of thousands of cozy alleyways, each containing its own special boutiques, artisans and cafes will make you wonder how a city so impossible can remain so well preserved. When I think about Singapore, one word comes to mind - food. To quote the late, great Anthony Bourdain: "What you do in Singapore is eat." Food is not just at the heart of Singaporean culture - it is the culture. Singapore is an intriguing paradox. The over-the-top indulgence and glamour of Singapore's downtown core and Marina Bay quite literally towers in contrast to its much more understated neighborhood hubs that are still destinations in their own right. My advice? Indulge in the over-the-top grandeur. Immerse yourself in Singapore's diverse Asian culture. And most importantly: eat.

Jackson Hole is having a moment. Urbanites like myself have long been lured to the mountain west to escape, looking for tranquility, connection with nature, and experiences that we can’t have in our concrete jungles. Each year, Jackson Hole goes through four major metamorphoses and emerges in each season as a new but familiar version of itself, beckoning visitors to be out of doors no matter what the temperature. Zermatt is one of the most magical places on earth. If you've seen "The Grinch", it's Whoville but in real life. Nestled in a beautiful valley in the Swiss Alps at the base of the famed and mighty Matterhorn, Zermatt is a charming town with a lot of soul. Zermatt is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise: world class skiing, hiking, alpine tobogganing and 8000m views await. Come back from your day of activity and treat your tired bones in the sauna at your ski lodge or enjoy a well-deserved beer at the local watering hole with likeminded skiers from around the world. Zermatt is a dream destination that keeps me coming back every December as part of my personal Christmastime pilgrimage to Europe, and it will keep you coming back too.

There are a million reasons why I love Las Vegas. The main one? Stepping off the plane at LAS is the start of 72-96 hours of indulging in Sin City’s incredible food and drink scene. This is firmly a non-definitive guide to eating and drinking in Las Vegas because let’s face it — there is no right or wrong way to do Las Vegas. The food scene is evolving so quickly that it’s impossible to try it all. These are just a few of the places I find myself revisiting over and over.

Ahhh, Florida. America’s #1 vacation destination. There’s a lot to love about mainland Florida, but the best of the Sunshine State lies south of the Florida peninsula at the end of Highway 1. Key West is the epitome of chill and oozes good vibes. There is a culture of open-mindedness that embraces all travelers just as they are, and that is what makes Key West special.

When I tell Australians that my first trip in Australia was to Perth, the typical response is “why?” Perth may be the most overlooked destination on mainland Australia, but don’t let the distance and vast desert that separate Australia’s east coast from its west coast deter you from working Perth into your next trip to Australia. Amazing beaches, diverse and remote landscapes, unique critters and an ultra-chill vacation await in Western Australia’s capital city.

The Maldives is heaven on earth. I was in high school when my parents put Windows Vista on our home PC and for the first time I laid eyes on the digital wallpaper called “A dock at sunset on White Sands Island in the Maldives” - a single dock with neon green lights stretched out the horizon, on the backdrop of a blue and cotton candy pink sunsetting sky. It was love at first sight. Paradise is found in The Maldives thanks to its pristine beaches, calm turquoise waters, amazing reefs, luxury resorts and its remoteness in the vast Indian Ocean. The rest of the world may as well not exist when you’re in The Maldives. It is the ultimate beach destination and the perfect place to indulge. Let’s get you there. You deserve it.

I wrote this guide as I was daydreaming in a café halfway around the world about a quick rendezvous to one of my favorite destinations - Mexico City (affectionately, CDMX).
