Antoinette V. Cardenas
- Off-the-beaten-path travel,
Native Angeleno that left the states and landed in Mexico City. I am just living and designing a life that is in the theme of a modern renaissance – intrigued?
My travel style
With little to no research somehow I always end up with an itinerary that lends to kismet connections. While luxury is divine, so is off-the-beaten-path. It's important to find balance between the two for the most well-rounded experience. Curiosity leads me most everywhere.
Beachfront glamping turned up a notch, with 32 luxe canvas cabins on stilts overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
A bottle of sparkling wine.
A modernist masterpiece in the residential Cuauhtémoc neighborhood, with six bedrooms and two rooftop terraces.
Recently returned from:
Taking a chef’s tasting menu tour in Oaxaca.
Exploring the historic center of Mexico City on a staycation.
Wine tasting in Valle de Guadalupe.
Going offline in La Paz, Baja Sur.
What’s one thing you can’t travel without?
Two truths, one lie:
Someone in my family is a historic revolutionary.
I have trekked up the side of a volcano to catch a sunrise.
I speak four languages fluently.
