My Story
I'm Anita, and I am a working mom and wife with my passion for travel. I love adventure, lake life, wine and exploring the world. With an engineering degree and a background in project engineering, procurement and strategic sourcing, I’ve honed the attention to detail that goes into creating custom itineraries. I understand the value of taking time off to recharge. I’m passionate about showing my children the world and creating lasting memories along the way.
My Travel Style
I'm passionate about creating adventure-filled experiences for couples and families, finding the perfect balance between family-friendly fun and a touch of luxury comfort. When I design itineraries, I focus on creating trips that will help make lasting memories. My favorite trips to plan are to Lakes around the world, but I’ve also fallen in love with several countries in Central America. They offer a mix of adventure and beautiful scenery — perfect for exploring during the day and relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening.

Pricing was a bit different than what was charged on my card, otherwise it was good.

Anita was great. I wanted to travel all over Italy- maybe too many places - but all the accommodations were excellent. All hotels were beatuiful and we felt very safe. We spoke to some couples that were on a tour bus and they had rooms that had mold on the ceiling. Our hotels were worth the price-thanks Anita:) The Weber Ambassador in Capri was a beautiful hotel but our room was in the basement. We spoke to others that had great rooms with balconies for 1/2 of what we paid - probaby because we only stayed one night and they stayed more days. The food was great but dinner took over 3 hours- there was a large group and they staff catered to them 1st. I wouldn't stay in Capri again - just do a day trip.
Anita booked us in 1st class on the trains that was very comfortable. The rides she set up from the hotels to the airport made traveling very easy and no stress. We rented a car which was alittle stressful at times but we managed it.
Our favorite places to visit were Sorrento, The Amalfi Coast, Venice and Tuscany. Some parts of Florence were ok. We drove up to Pisa and headed north to Viareggio which is on the water and lovely. I guess the places we like best were on the water.
Anita - Thanks for all your help and making all the changes that we requested. We enjoyed our trip very much!!

My wife and I had not taken a vacation outside the US in over 20 years so I knew that we were going to need some help with this one. A good friend recommended Anita Burke of Fora Travel. That call we made to Anita set the foundation for an experience that we will remember for years. Anita & her family had, coincidentally, just been to Sandals, Nassau, so she spoke from actual experience. She supplied information for all of our questions and, once decisions were made, she took care of the details and gave me a step x step of "This is how your trip will move forward". She was with us every step of the way. I will recommend Anita Burke of Fora Travel to friends, family, and anyone else who happens to ask: "How was your trip"?

She kept in close contact with us all the time. She was always making suggestions, and helped us when we needed advice, especially with the airline tickets. If we had any questions, she was always direct in her answers and made sure we were taken care of. She's very kind and easy to work with. We would highly recommend her as a travel advisor.

Where do I start? The Alaskan trip was wonderful!! We thoroughly enjoyed the land and sea as the complete package. Anita was able to assist and walk us through booking our flights. She answered all our questions regarding rules and regulations of flying as we don’t fly very often. We received several emails with updates I.e downloading the princess app- what and how to complete steps and more. Anita answered all our questions in a very timely manner. We were a group of 10 & the same emails were sent to all - so we were all on the same page. It was easy to book our excursions with princess. Anita sent us a lot of helpful need to know information; right down to times and ports and the excursions we had booked. We downloaded the Tern app and all our information was there. It was wonderful! We are definitely having Anita book our next vacation!!!

Site Inspection at American Trade Hotel in Panama City, Panama
In December 2023, I did a site inspection while staying at the American Trade hotel in Casco Viejo, Panama. It is a beautiful small luxury hotel with many recent updates. It is also located in the perfect area to take in the history and culture that Panama has to offer. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to my clients in the future.

4-Night Family Guide to Cabo San Lucas: Staying at Hard Rock Los Cabos
Staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos is the perfect mix of luxury and family-friendly fun, which isn’t always easy to find. We were there for a wedding, but it ended up being a full-on vacation for all of us, especially the kids.
The hotel itself is incredible. There are tons of pools and three water slides my kids couldn't get enough of. They have this awesome Kids Club where they do everything from crafts to games. This gave my husband and I some much-needed downtime and help during the wedding because it was open into the evening. It’s all-inclusive, so we didn’t have to stress about meals or snacks. Between the buffets and casual dining spots, even our picky eaters found something they liked.

Family Spring Break Ski Trip in Colorado
Colorado is the perfect location to visit for Spring Break. Take one last chance to hit the ski slopes before the snow melts, while it's also still warm enough to check out the parks and nature with some hiking and biking on sunny days. Our family, with young kids, fell in love with spring skiing in Colorado. Beaver Creek Resort now has a special place in our hearts we can't wait to go back!

Getaway to the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri
Located in the middle of Missouri, between Kansas City and St. Louis, Lake of the Ozarks is the ultimate weekend escape in the summer for families, couples and friends. My family enjoys spending multiple weekends every summer exploring the Lake. There is more lake shoreline than the state of California's coastline and so much to do for everyone. Families can bond over lakeside adventures like boating, fishing, and water sports, while couples can enjoy romance along the waterfront or sunset cruises on the lake. For groups of friends seeking fun, the area has a vibrant nightlife, waterfront bars, and thrilling attractions like Big Surf water park. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or quality time with family, Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri is a great weekend getaway filled with fun and memories to be made.
