A Journey Through South Africa’s Garden Route & Winelands
Driving from Port Elizabeth to the Winelands of the Western Cape is one of my favorite experiences in South Africa. The Garden Route, a 200-kilometer stretch along one of the world’s most breathtaking coastlines, combines everything I love about travel—breathtaking views, coastal towns full of character, incredible hiking trails, and meals that are as memorable as the landscapes. Along the way, there’s unique flora and fauna, wildlife encounters, and lively local markets that add so much authenticity. Ending in the Winelands, with its world-class food, wine, and scenery, always feels like the perfect finale to an unforgettable journey.
