Travel Style
My first bit of travel was through books... as a child, I always got my certificate for 100 books over the summer at our local library. Reading about characters from all over the world developed my imagination and created the seed that would grow throughout my life. As a retired high school English teacher, the same research mentality with which I designed my classroom has also taught me how to travel. My family and friends ask me for ideas on where to stay and where to eat in different locations. They know that I have read about every single place and made a list. Is it wrong to know where the best hand-pulled noodles are around the Tower of London? I enjoy the idea of travel as well as the travel itself. The mystery of what it will be like and the affirmation that people everywhere are lovely. I do love to see the sights, but I'm mostly drawn to the locals... both in the areas to stay as well as their favorite, little-known excursions. I include this in my planning now, always looking for the road less traveled and remembering that the journey is the destination.

Seamless experience with our bookings, request for an early check in was a key, making our first day after an overnight flight easy. The restaurants recommended were spot on and the excursions were incredible.

Amy did a good job selecting appropriately priced & located hotels. The hotel charged my credit card for both our room and our friends room, which we can sort out later. A small inconvenience.

Anniversary Weekend in Boston
A fun anniversary getaway with our friends! My husband, Kurt, lived near Boston during his childhood (Franklin, Mass. to be exact). The last time he visited, he was about 12, so he was excited to experience the area again. Our friends also relocated to the area, so it was a perfect reason to visit! What a beautiful city!

I can thank my daughter for having a college experience that brought her to Oxford (yes, THE Oxford) and that took her back again for a post-graduate degree. London may end up being one of my favorite places in the world! So much history, beauty, FOOD, and so many lovely people.
