Florence will forever hold a special place in my heart—I lived here for four months during college and have returned many times since. Franschhoek is one of my favorite places in South Africa, a true gem nestled in the Cape Winelands. The magnificent views of vineyards against dramatic mountain backdrops never fail to amaze. Each wine farm offers its own unique charm and story, making every visit feel fresh and exciting. As one of South Africa’s oldest wine regions, Franschhoek’s history is rooted in the French Huguenots who brought their winemaking traditions here in the 1600s. It’s a place where beauty, culture and indulgence come together perfectly.
