My Story
A Denver-based travel expert who lives and breathes all things Japan.
My Travel Style
I fell in love with Japan on my first trip there in 2013. I was lucky enough to be able to move to Fukuoka, in western Japan, in 2014 and started a fitness studio, where I led group hikes in the countryside and taught yoga classes in English to a mix of locals and expats. In my free time, I loved going to onsen, Japanese hot springs, and learning about the traditional tea ceremony. My husband and I met and married in Japan, then moved to Colorado in 2018 where I spent several years working for InsideJapan Tours as a travel consultant.
I started Savor and Soak Travel Co. because I have a passion for travel and love talking all things Japanese culture, food, and language. I love when my clients are able to come home from a trip not only with an album full of gorgeous photos, but also moments where they connected with the people and the culture.

There is so much to learn about the history and culture in Japan. I recommend starting with Tokyo, Kyoto and Kanazawa. All three cities are easily accessible by high-speed trains and all three offer so much for a traveler to explore and learn.
