Day 1: Kick off your Greece itinerary 10 days

The Acropolis, Athens

On day one of your 10-day Greece itinerary, arrive at Athens International airport. Have your Fora Advisor arrange a private transfer or take a taxi to your hotel. We have preferred partnerships with many hotels. From the classic King George to the understated elegance at The Dolli to the boutique all-suite experience at A77, there is a hotel for you.

If you book your trip with Fora, early check-in and upgrades (when available) mean you can have a quick shower, change and head out immediately to beat that jet lag.

Once you're ready, head out to explore your neighborhood. The Athenian center is compact, so walking around is easy to do. Stroll through the charming Plaka, known for its narrow streets, shops and traditional tavernas. Grab coffee and people-watch, or go shopping. If you want to explore the great archeology of Athens the right way, walk to the Library of Hadrian and enjoy the flea market there. (It can get quite crowded, but it's worth it.)

Post exploration, enjoy a traditional Greek dinner at a local restaurant. Greeks eat late, so an 8 pm or later reservation is recommended. Can't-miss staples include fava bean dip and taramosalata (fish roe dip). Check out some of our favorite hotels in Athens, Greece below.

Fora Perks at King George:

  • $100 food / beverage credit.

  • Breakfast daily.

  • Upgrade & extended check-in/out whenever possible.

Fora Perks at A77 Suites by Adronis:

  • $50 food / beverage credit.

  • Breakfast daily.

  • Upgrade & extended check-in/out whenever possible.

Day 2: Athens exploration

The Acropolis, Athens

Today is a big day. Visit the most iconic landmark in Athens, the Acropolis. Thanks to its hillside overlook, there's zero shade here, so get there early early to beat the sun (and the crowds!).

Start with a visit to the Acropolis Museum to learn more about the ancient history and artifacts of Athens. Then, off to the Acropolis. Plan for a half day and have a tour guide arranged for you.

Following your morning at the Acropolis, head out for lunch. Your concierge can suggest a restaurant. Or, ask your Fora Advisor for help.

In the evening, indulge in Athens' vibrant nightlife by visiting one of the city's rooftop bars or clubs. Monastiraki is a great neighborhood to explore. Fun fact: Athens is home to a number of the world's top 50 bars.

Day 3: Athens to Mykonos

Mykonos, Greece

Take a quick 45-minute flight from Athens to Mykonos.

Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach. Swim, enjoy a spa appointment and rest after two hectic days in busy Athens. If “rest” is not in your vocabulary, get a taxi and explore the island's famous beaches. Consider visiting Paradise Beach, Super Paradise Beach or Psarou Beach.

In the evening, head to Mykonos Town to experience its bustling nightlife. Explore the narrow streets, visit the iconic windmills and enjoy dinner at a waterfront restaurant.

Days 4-6: Mykonos

Mykonos, Greece

Spend the next few days in Mykonos, enjoying the island's unique charm and attractions.

Visit the archaeological site of Delos, a short boat ride away from Mykonos. Delos is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as an important mythological and historical site in Greece.

Explore Mykonos' picturesque villages, such as Ano Mera and Ornos. Discover their traditional architecture, local shops and authentic Greek tavernas.

Relax and soak up the sun on Mykonos' stunning beaches. Consider visiting Elia Beach, Agios Ioannis Beach or Kalafatis Beach.

Experience Mykonos' vibrant nightlife scene, with its numerous beach clubs, bars and restaurants.

Day 7: Mykonos to Paros

Paros, Greece

Check into your hotel in Paros and spend the day exploring the island's main town, Parikia. Visit the Panagia Ekatontapiliani, a beautiful Byzantine church, and wander through the town's charming streets. Cap off your day with a leisurely dinner at a seaside taverna.

Days 8-10: Paros (an under-the-radar must on any Greece itinerary 10 days)

Paros, Greece

Spend the final stretch of your Greece itinerary 10 days discovering the beauty of Paros.

Explore the charming village of Naoussa, known for its picturesque harbor, white-washed buildings and lively atmosphere. Stroll through the village's narrow streets and dine at one of its excellent seafood restaurants.

Visit the stunning beaches of Paros, such as Golden Beach, Kolymbithres or Santa Maria Beach. Relax, swim and try out water-sport activities.

Take a a short ferry ride to the island of Antiparos. Explore its caves, visit its Venetian Castle and enjoy the laid-back vibes.

And don't forget to sample alllll the local cuisine and traditional Greek dishes during your stay in Paros.

Day 11: Departure

Paros, Greece

Take a ferry from Paros to Athens (approximately 2-4 hours).

If you've opted to end your 10-day Greece itinerary on a farther island, take a short flight back to Athens in the early morning and connect to your flight home. Depart from Athens and leave the gorgeous Greek Isles, holding on to some incredible memories.

Note: Ferry schedules and durations may vary depending on the season and specific ferry routes. It's advisable to check the timetables and book your tickets in advance. Your Fora Advisor has partnerships with destination experts on the ground to help coordinate these transfers.
