Board your cruise ship in the afternoon from one of three ports of calls on the West Coast of the USA. Carnival cruise lines leave for their 15 day trips from Seattle, Washington, Los Angelas, California, and San Fransisco, California. While each itinerary slight varies in their at sea days, all three cruise lines sail to the same destinations in the Hawai'i island. For the sake of this guide, we will be embarking on the Carnival Spirit from Seattle. One of the best parts of cruising from Seattle is the opportunity to explore the iconic city, famous for its hip coffee culture and musical scene.

Day 7: Arrive in Honolulu, Hawai'i

Bird's eye view of downtown Honolulu, Hawaii

It’s hard to imagine a more picture-perfect holiday destination, and a cruise to Honolulu is an ideal way to experience it with numerous activities to offer the family. Located on the beautiful island of Oahu, Honolulu invites you to stroll the fabled beaches of Waikiki (or take a surfing lesson!) with views of the famous Diamond Head. Waikiki itself is consistently voted as one of the best beach towns in the world with numerous shops, cafes and restaurants. Visit the Polynesian Cultural Center, a 42-acre living museum of many South Pacific cultures. You can also arrange a visit to the historic USS Arizona Memorial, an important landmark dedicated to those who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor. You can also choose to experience an authentic luau and learn about Hawaiian history and culture.

Day 8: Arrive in Nawiliwili, Kauai

Hawai'i’s oldest, greenest and most dramatic island, Kauai offers visitors a chance to explore rainforests or visit its numerous beautiful beaches. On your Carnival cruise to Kauai, Hawai'i, get a helicopter’s-eye view of the inaccessible parts of the island that get you up close with a tour of the 3,000 feet deep Waimea Canyon or the remote Na Pali Coast.

Day 9: Arrive in Kahului, Maui

Beach on a partly cloudy day.

Maui attracts millions of visitors every year, and once you visit, you will see why. Your Maui cruise brings you to this island of scenic beaches, thundering waterfalls, rainforests, plus breathtaking views. On Maui, you can visit the home of the sun atop the 10,000-foot volcano Haleakala. Swim beneath the waves and snorkel with rainbow-colored fish on Maui cruises.

Now more than ever, especially, Maui is welcoming and encouraging respectful visitors to its island.

Day 10: Arrive in Hilo, Hawai'i

Stacked waterfalls streaming down Volcanoes National Park in Hilo.

Located on the slopes of volcanic Mauna Loa, the port of Hilo offers visitors a path on which to step back in time. A Carnival cruise to Hilo transports you to this Hawaiian town covered in lush tropical foliage, overlooking the waters of Hilo Bay. In Hilo, you can wander down Banyan Drive and explore the Pacific Tsunami Museum.

Days 11-14: Fun Day at Sea

Days back out at sea where you have numerous activities to choose from!

Day 15: Arrive in Victoria, Canada
