Curator’s statement
I always say that travel should leave you feeling better than when you arrived, and 1 Hotel Mayfair is the physical embodiment of that. It balances thoughtful, nature-inspired design with a quiet, grounding energy that is hard to find in a busy city. It’s more than just a place to sleep; it’s a sanctuary that encourages you to slow down, connect with your family, and leave feeling fully restored.

The hotel

The stay
From the second we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make things easy. Instead of a standard check-in, I was offered my favorite almond milk latte while my family relaxed with their choice of tea and spirits. It set the tone for the whole trip. We started with lunch at the hotel restaurant, and even though they were completely booked, they managed to squeeze us in. The food and service were top tier, and since they knew it was my daughter’s first birthday, they even surprised her with a gift from their shop.
The space
We booked the junior suite with a joining king room, which gave us plenty of space to actually live in. They went above and beyond for my daughter, setting up the room with a crib, organic soaps, a stuffed bunny, and even a spaceman light projector for the ceiling. They even baked a special gluten-free, low-sugar cake for her that the whole family ended up indulging in.
The details
I’m a firm believer that the little things matter most. The beds are giant and incredibly comfortable, and having a filtered water station right in the room makes staying hydrated so easy. I’m usually not one for minibars, but the snacks here were so clean and delicious that I ended up finding new snack brands to order from when I got home. Between the prime Mayfair location for people-watching and a concierge team that knows all the best spots, I’d send any of my clients here in a heartbeat.

Inside the hotel
Bamford Wellness Spa: If you need a reset, don’t skip the Bamford Spa on the first floor. Their holistic treatments are incredible, but they book up fast. I recommend scheduling your massage or facial at the same time you book your room.
In-room recovery: For my fellow wellness tech lovers, you can actually bring the spa to your suite. They offer HigherDose Infrared Sauna Blankets and PEMF mats for use in your room. It is the ultimate way to biohack your jet lag and relax your muscles after a day of walking London’s streets.
SOLICE Therapy: If you need a deeper reset, the hotel partners with SOLICE for specialized in-room treatments. You can book everything from IV drips and B12 or Glutathione boosters to more holistic therapies like acupuncture, reflexology, Reiki, and even ozone facials. It’s total body care without having to leave your room.
The lobby "farmstand": Keep an eye out in the lobby for the communal "farmstand" usually stocked with fresh, seasonal fruit for guests. It’s a small detail, but it’s so refreshing when you’re coming in from a busy afternoon of exploring.
Morning yoga: Check the hotel’s "Field Guide" (their weekly events chalkboard) when you arrive. They often host complimentary yoga or movement classes for guests, which is the best way to shake off any lingering jet lag.
The Audi house car: A helpful perk is the hotel’s electric Audi house car. It’s available on a first-come, first-served basis for local drop-offs.

SiLVA dining room
In the neighborhood
Green Park morning walks: You are literally steps from Green Park. If you’re an early riser, take a stroll toward the Victoria Memorial before the crowds arrive. It’s the most grounding way to start a London day.
Healthy bites: While the hotel food is amazing (don't sleep on their breakfast—their eggs are some of the best I've had!), if you’re out and about, Holy Carrot nearby is a fantastic plant-based spot that aligns perfectly with a wellness-focused itinerary.
Royal Academy of Arts: You’re very close to the RA. Even if you don’t have time for a full exhibit, their courtyard is a beautiful, quiet spot to sit for a moment and take in the architecture.
Dinner at SiLVA: You absolutely have to book a table at SiLVA while you’re here. The menu "blends Mediterranean influences with seasonal creativity, offering a diverse range of dishes that evolve throughout the day," which fits that grounding, high-quality vibe perfectly. The atmosphere is chic but intimate; ideal for a long, slow dinner after a day in the city.
