Arrival
From the moment you arrive, The BoTree feels more like you’re meeting up with a new friend. Instead of a stiff, at-the-counter check in, you are met by a team member who sits in their thoughtfully designed lobby with you to check you in and explain the property, all while offering a glass of champagne to sip on.

Accommodation
I opted for a King Deluxe room, and though I was traveling solo, the space would have been more than comfortable for me and my very tall husband. The details in the room were beautiful. In particular, the tea set and kettle were so fun and the selection of teas and coffees was better than most hotels I’ve stayed in. After a long flight, I was also pleased to find a Dyson hair dryer and steamer.

I was already impressed with my own room prior to touring the rest of the property and was truly in awe of how beautifully and thoughtfully designed the rest of the space was. There are suites for every type of group traveling, including one with a record player. I was told that when Taylor Swift was in town, they found out the favorite song of the youngest in the group and had someone make sure that track was playing in their suite as they entered the room. If you’re looking for those types of thoughtful touches, they clearly thrive and take great pride in them.

Food & beverage
The food and beverage options on site are also fantastic. I usually try to wander somewhere for breakfast, but am glad I didn’t as the breakfast I had at the hotel was one of my favorites of the trip.
The bar is also beautiful, splashed in jewel tones, serving unique cocktails along with classics. It’s always a good sign when the crowd is clearly a mix of locals after work as well as visitors.
The BoTree remains high on my list of properties I recommend to friends and clients in London.

Need to know
If you’re looking for a great neighborhood in Central London, it’s hard to beat the location of The BoTree, sandwiched between Marylebone and Mayfair. Just close enough to the popular sites, but tucked away for a quiet retreat at the end of the day.
