What to See and Eat in Tokyo
Curator’s statement

In May 2024, I stayed at the Hilton Tokyo in Shinjuku. It’s a great location, easy walking distance to excellent restaurants and train stations to further explore this amazing city. I highly recommend booking a room on the Executive Floor to take advantage of the free breakfast and amazing happy hour.

The city is huge, so don’t try to see it all. But, you can’t miss Asakusa. I also highly recommend the Shibuya Sky Tower and the 52nd Floor of the Mori Tower in Roppongi for views of the city.

If you are in Tokyo during the Grand Sumo Championship, I recommend getting tickets to see a match day Kokugikan in Ryogoku. Tickets sell out quickly.

Need to know

There are so many great places to eat in Tokyo. My most unique Tokyo dining experience was at Eureka, where each delicious small plate is paired with a wonderful, different sake.
