Site Inspection at Viceroy Los Cabos
Curator’s statement

In May of 2023, I did a site inspection while staying on a return visit to the beautiful Viceroy Los Cabos. Not only is this property architecturally stunning, but the staff are some of the most kind and welcoming of anywhere I've traveled. The views, service, and incredible onsite F&B options are just a few of the reasons I've continued to return to this property.

The property is located about 25 minutes from San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD) and and less than 10 minutes from the charming town of San José del Cabo. The hotel can arrange private car service or taxis to and from the airport and into town. The property also offers complimentary bicycles.

The Viceroy features five pools, including a rooftop adults only pool and two infinity edge beachfront pools. With six onsite dining options, your options for breakfast, lunch and dinner are plentiful and amazing. We ate several meals in town during our trip, and our group still talks about our meals at the Viceroy the most.

In addition to the property's stunning guest rooms, they also feature suites with private indoor/outdoor living space. If you are traveling with a larger group, the Viceroy's casitas and villas are an incredible option, each with their own kitchen, plunge pool and terrace with a grill. We were fortunate to stay in one of the villas on this trip and received incredible service from the moment we arrived.

Need to Know

While the Viceroy is kid friendly, I would recommend this property for a group of friends, a couple's getaway or honeymoon. The pool areas can definitely lend themselves to a more lively scene as the day progresses, however, the property does offer access to the V Team Kids Club at an additional fee should you want to make it a family trip.
