Location
Casa Monti Roma is a gorgeous boutique hotel opened May 2024, located in the Monti district, a charming village in the historic heart of Rome. It’s brimming with artistic energy, but still within walking distance to some of Rome’s can’t miss sights.
This makes it the perfect location for first-timers that still want to feel like they’re away from the other tourists, as well as those in-the-know travelers who keep coming back and want to experience the best spots in Rome to spend their evenings.

Accommodation
From the Quattrocento parked out front, you’re delighted by the charm and attention to detail around every corner that awaits you inside.

The interiors are designed by Laura Gonzalez, where bold prints are layered on each other and color is everywhere. Move over, modern white-box hotels, and let your imagination run free. With less than 40 rooms and suites, you can expect a restful night’s sleep, especially with the sleep mask and melatonin gummies offered at your turn-down service.

While you’re soaking up your zen, make sure to check out their spa by Susanne Kaufmann—treat yourself to a massage and a dip in the jacuzzi to restore your calm.

Food
But make no mistake, the food and bar options keep the place abuzz. On the ground level, you have a beautiful bar that leads you to the outdoor courtyard, before you enter the main restaurant, with indoor and outdoor space on offer. But, make sure you visit the rooftop bar for your aperitivi—their signature cocktails take the classics, infuse them with herbs, and everyone’s a winner.

Personal highlights for me: their spin on the French 75, the limoncello spritz, and a lighter negroni infused with herbs d’Provence.
Once you’ve had your appertivo (or three), make your way back to the restaurant for an authentic and contemporary gastronomic experience. I ordered the stuffed zucchini flowers at every meal, followed by some of my favorite pastas—they’re classics for a reason.
