The Knickerbocker Hotel was the perfect place to stay for our quick trip to NYC. The location at the edge of Times Square made it easy to walk to Broadway theaters and the nearby holiday attractions, while still feeling tucked away from the busiest crowds. The staff was warm and welcoming, and they really went out of their way to make sure that we had a comfortable stay. One of our favorite spots was the hotel’s rooftop bar, St. Cloud, which was a perfect place to relax with a drink while taking in the city lights.

Bryant Park Winter Village is just minutes from the hotel. You can really get into the festive spirit with ice skating, holiday gift shopping, and decadent seasonal treats. Some savory favorites are the raclette sandwiches at Baked Cheese Haus and the gnocchi at Gnocchi on 9th. On the sweet side, the hot chocolate at No Chewing Allowed and the chocolate chip cookies at Last Crumb shouldn't be missed!
Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center are also just a short stroll away. Check out the themed holiday windows, admire the iconic Christmas tree, and visit FAO Schwarz for some nostalgic fun! For a really special experience, get tickets to a performance of The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall—a holiday classic!

With holiday fun around every corner, you can choose to see it all or take your time, savoring every magical moment.
Need to know
If you have more than a weekend to explore, there are several other holiday markets to explore throughout the city, including larger ones at Union Square and Columbus Circle. There is also the Hudson Yards “Shine Bright” light display, and several restaurants that get into the holiday spirit with festive decor—Papillon and Lillie’s Victorian Establishment are two great options!
