Day 1: Arrive in Naples!

To get to the Amalfi Coast, you have to fly or take a train into Naples. From Naples, hire transportation to drive you down to Positano. Enjoy all the views along the way! Once you arrive at your hotel, get settled in and then spend the afternoon strolling down the streets and looking at all of the shops full of local crafts and ceramics. Enjoy dinner at Ristorante Don Giovanni. This restaurant is built right on the cliffs and has amazing views from the terrace. They have a relaxed atmosphere with beautifully presented food. This place is definitely a must when in Positano. Finish your meal by sipping on some limoncello.
Day 2: Travel by boat

Today, you will be experiencing the coast by boat! Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and get ready for a day on the water. Once you are ready, head down to the pier to get your boat. You have a few different options on what you can do from here. You can ride the boat over to Capri and explore the island. If you choose to do this, make sure the see the Faraglioni. You can also head in the other direction and see all of the small towns along the coast. Make sure to stop by Amalfi (because it is the Amalfi Coast, of course) and ride up the mountains to Ravello. Once you have seen the area and grabbed some lunch, get back on your boat, find a spot to drop your anchor and take a dip in the Mediterranean. When it is time to head back to Positano, drop off the boat at the pier and head over to your hotel to get cleaned up for dinner. Enjoy dinner at Ristorante Adamo ed Eva Positano. This place has great fresh-caught fish. They also have great views of the coast from their terrace. Finish off dinner with a great bottle of Italian wine.
Day 3: Fun in the sand

Your last day is a day of relaxation and fun. After breakfast at your hotel, spend the day at the beach. There are a few options in Positano depending on your preference. Spiaggia Grande is the main beach in Positano. It is definitely busier and livelier. If you’re looking for a smaller beach, try Fornillo Beach. Stay as little or as long as you would like. In the afternoon, grab some lunch at Casa e Bottega. This is a beautiful little cafe with a diverse menu. Every dish there is great and has a vibrant atmosphere. Spend the afternoon exploring more of what the town of Positano has to offer. See the Church of Santa Maria. If you are interested in history, you can also visit the Museo Archaeologico Romano to see some ancient Roman history. Head back to your hotel to get ready for your dinner activity. For dinner, take a cooking class. These are so fun and really allow you to immerse yourself in the culture. Everything is made from scratch and you get to enjoy your creation for dinner. Make sure to grab some lemon sorbetto for dessert to end the night.
Need to know
Do not try driving on the Amalfi Coast! This area is all built on cliffs with narrow, winding streets. The locals know how to navigate it very well, but if you aren’t from the area, it can be pretty unsafe to try driving there.
If you ever get car sick, make sure to pack some Dramamine, because you definitely will need it here! The winding roads can really take a toll on you.
