Things to do in Cape Town

Visit Boulders Beach Penguin Colony

Boulders Beach is known as one of the best beaches in Cape Town. Warm waters from the False Bay Area make this ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The highlight of Boulders Beach is, of course, the enchanting African penguin colony. Visit these cute penguins in their natural habitat and meet some of them along the boardwalk.

Take the cable car up to Table Mountain

Take the cable car up and enjoy one of the most breathtaking views Cape Town has to offer.

Cape Of Good Hope

The Cape of Good Hope is the most Southwestern corner of the African continent. The Atlantic and Indian oceans currents share common grounds here. The Cape of Good Hope waters are also known to boast some of the most diverse marine life in the world. You will have an opportunity to do some walking or even hiking. A big sign welcoming you to this famous and important landmark in maritime history is popular with visitors.

Visit the colorful neighborhood of Bo-Kaap

Bo-Kaap is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Cape Town. This neighborhood is bordered by Cape Town to the west and Signal Hill to the east. It was one of the first homes for the freed slaves of the Cape in the mid 1800s.

Book a tour to the vineyards in Stellenbosh

Hire a driver or tour guide to take you and your group to the nearby vineyards. I highly recommend the Hartenberg Wine Estate, L'Avenir, and the Waterford Estate. Sip delicious wines while admiring the stunning mountains surrounding the vineyards.

The best time to visit Cape Town is during their summer months, which is from December–March! Although the weather is pleasant year-round. Make sure to be aware of your surroundings and always take an Uber when out late at night.
