Advisor - Scuba & Jungle: A Four-Day Eco Adventure in Tayrona, Colombia
Curator’s statement

Tayrona is where the wild Caribbean truly comes alive: no polished resorts, just raw ocean, dense jungle and untouched beaches. Diving here felt like exploring a secret world, with no docks or crowds, just reef, current and freedom. Sleeping in a jungle cabana and waking up with the ocean's song made me feel completely off the grid and connected to nature. It’s the kind of trip that strips things back to what really matters: water, earth and wonder.

Days 1–2: Private diving safari with Lion Fish Scuba Diving Center

I booked a two-day diving safari in the Tayrona area with Lion Fish Scuba, an adventure that started early with a drive into the park and a ride on a local fisherman’s boat. From there, we headed straight into the wild.

We arrived at a remote beach with no tourists in sight, just us and raw, untouched nature. For two days, we explored several dive spots teeming with vibrant coral and incredible marine life.

Meals were simple and perfect: fresh fish caught that day, grilled right on the beach. If you're craving an off-the-grid experience with diving, snorkeling, kayaking and total disconnection from civilization, this one's for you.

Days 3–4: Trading the fins for hiking shoes

After two days at sea, it was time to explore the immensity of the park. I spent a night in a beautiful jungle cabana near the park's entrance, falling asleep to the sound of the rainforest.

The next day, I entered Tayrona National Park on foot, hiking through lush jungle trails and spotting wildlife along the way. Quickly enough, the trees opened up to reveal the raw, breathtaking beaches Tayrona is famous for. I spent the night inside the park. Everything is well organized and maintained to ensure top service for tourists. You must also purchase insurance at the entrance, which makes the whole experience really secured. No stress, just stars, waves and total serenity.
