Curator’s statement
Nice is the perfect vacation spot for anyone craving a mix of glamour and laid-back charm. You can spend your days swimming in turquoise waters, shopping vintage boutiques, or exploring the pastel streets of Old Town. Nice makes an excellent vacation base because not only is it stunning all on its own, but it’s also just a short train ride away from some of the most beautiful cities the French Riviera has to offer.

Things to do in Nice, France

Enjoy a day at the beach: bring a towel and a book and check out some favorite local spots: Paloma Beach, Coco Beach, Billionaires Bay.
Rent a sunbed at a beach club. My favorite is Castel Plage.
Spend an afternoon vintage shopping. My favorites are Caprice Vintage, Pomme Glamour, and Depot Vente Luxe Mademoiselle.
Grab some gelato & explore Old Town.
Check out the best view of the beautiful city at Castle Hill (Colline du Château). No need to walk up all the steps. There’s a free elevator you can take located near the Tour Bellanda.
Day trips
Take the train into Monaco and gamble at the Casino de Monte Carlo.
Take the train into Cannes and explore all the luxury and glamor the city has to offer.
For a more relaxed vibe, take the train and spend the day in Villafranche Sur Mer. It’s such a gorgeous and unique coastal gem.
Another great day trip is Antibes, known for it’s mix of old town charm and luxurious yachts.
