Things to do on Jost Van Dyke, BVI

Beach chairs and restaurant at Hendo’s Hideout
For those craving adventure, start your day with a hike up the island's incredibly steep hills, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views and plenty of friendly goats to keep you company. Afterward, unwind at the tranquil waters below, perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, or simply soaking up the sun with your toes in the sand.
I highly recommend a visit to Ocean Spa, where you’ll indulge in a blissful massage at the Caribbean's only floating spa (trust me, it's as incredible as it sounds).
In the afternoon, take a leisurely stroll along the beach, relax at Hendo’s Hideout (great for lunch or dinner), or sip a refreshing Painkiller at the iconic Soggy Dollar Bar.
If you're staying overnight, enjoy a scenic beachfront dinner at either Spice or Ivan’s for a perfect end to your day.
Places to eat & drink on Jost Van Dyke, BVI

Spice: While the incredible dinner requires reservations, during the day Spice offers a casual, walk-up dining experience where you order at the counter. From decadent lobster dishes to slow-roasted carnitas tacos, you truly can’t go wrong.
Hendo’s Hideout: A perfect choice for lunch or dinner, Hendo’s is the only spot on the beach offering full-service beach chairs. Spend the day relaxing with food and drinks delivered right to you, or escape the sun and enjoy a delicious meal inside the restaurant. If you’re in town on a Thursday, don’t miss sushi night (reservations required).
Ivan’s: The epitome of a laid-back beach bar, Ivan’s serves some of the freshest fish on the island alongside coconut-water cocktails and Caribbean barbecue. Live music on Wednesday nights makes this a must-visit spot.
Tipsy Shark: Located on the opposite side of the island, Tipsy Shark offers a totally different vibe. With fresh fish specials daily, the standout favorite is the “Lazy Man Lobster"—freshly caught lobster, expertly removed from the shell.
Foxy’s: Stop by the iconic Foxy’s for live music, walls of sports team flags, and their legendary rum punches. The lively party atmosphere never disappoints.
