From cruising Lady Bird Lake on a Retro Boat to biking along the river, Austin’s outdoor lifestyle made exploring feel effortless and playful. The mix of walkable neighborhoods like Rainey Street, East 6th, and South Congress made it easy to explore the city at our own pace—great food, live music, murals, and breweries were never far apart. I’d absolutely recommend Austin for a trip like this because it offers something for every travel mood—outdoorsy, foodie, music lover, or casual explorer. It’s easy to get around, packed with personality, and ideal for travelers who want a mix of iconic experiences and room to wander.
