Curator’s statement
Born and raised a Wisconsin girl, Milwaukee's culture, food, and life are in my blood—even now as a North Carolina transplant—which makes any return trip all that much sweeter. This time around, I brought some friends from "across the pond" with me, and we INDULGED. The fun we had on an impromptu girls' trip might just inspire you to check out this underrated destination.

Day 1: Small-town charm, Pilates & the best kind of reset

Pilates instruction
We hit the ground running on day one with a day trip to Cedarburg, a charming small town about 30 minutes north of Milwaukee that feels like a completely different world from the city. We wandered the downtown at our own pace, ducked into coffee shops, and took our time the way you only can when nobody has a hard agenda. The highlight was a private Pilates class that was equal parts humbling and energizing—the kind of thing that makes you feel like you've earned the rest of the trip. Back in Milwaukee by evening, we checked into the Hilton Downtown and headed straight to the Knickerbocker Spa for massages that put our muscles into vacay mode. It was day one and we had already won.
Day 2: Market mornings & courtside energy

Fiserv Forum
Day two started at the Milwaukee Public Market—the kind of place you walk into for a quick stop, and end up leaving several hours (and drinks) later. We spent the afternoon exploring the streets of Milwaukee, getting a feel for the neighborhoods, and working up an appetite for dinner in the Third Ward, which has exactly the kind of energy a girls' trip dinner deserves. Then came the main event: a Milwaukee Bucks game that delivered everything a live NBA game promises: the crowd, the noise, and an excuse to be too loud and completely present. We rolled back to the hotel happily exhausted and already looking forward to day three.
Day 3: Glow up, brunch & goodbye

Cafe Benelux bloody Mary
Nobody wanted it to be the last morning, but we made it count. Facials at Skin Foundrie sent us out the door genuinely glowing. It was the kind of treatment that makes you wonder why you don't prioritize it more often. From there, we headed to Café Benelux for brunch, which was the perfect final chapter. Good food, great company, and just enough time to sit with the trip before it was over.
Need to know
Milwaukee showed up, and honestly we weren't ready for how good it was. Between the food, the Third Ward, a Bucks game, and enough spa time to actually decompress, it checked every box a girls' trip needs to without any of the chaos that comes with more obvious destinations. Put it on the list. You'll thank yourself later.
