Museums & Exhibitions

  • Musee Yves Saint Laurent: The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris exhibits the couturier’s body of work on the legendary premises of his former haute couture house. It's an intimate experience that truly welcomes and embraces guests into an iconic designer's home.

  • Louis Vuitton Foundation: As one of few privately owned and funded art spaces in Paris, the Fondation Louis Vuitton opened not too long ago, in 2014. Frank Gehry designed the building, which looks like a boat floating in the Bois de Boulogne. Situated away from central Paris in the 16th Arrondissement, this Museum makes for a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle.

  • Atelier Lumier: L'Atelier des Lumières, a 19th-century foundry turned digital art museum, transports visitors through immersive projections of contemporary and historical artworks, spanning expansive rooms, staircases, and pools, in a mesmerizing 30-minute visual and musical spectacle.

Shopping

  • Vintage shop around the Marais District. Head to Snow Bunny and Nuovo to get started and wander around nearby streets to discover hidden gems of your own.

  • Discover the amazing Flea Market's Paris has to offer. Le Puces de Montreuil and Marché aux Puces de St-Ouen are two must-sees.

  • If you're looking for an upscale shopping experience, Le Bon March in Saint-Germain is for you. Alternatively, if you're in the right bank, Galeries Lafayette is a good choice. While the offerings are pretty standard, the building itself is a spectacle with it's glass ceiling and gold decorations. You can also head to the roof of this mall for an amazing view of the entire city.

Tours & Experiences

  • Monet's Gardens: While this excursion is a bit touristy, if you're a fan of impressionism, this visit is a must. About an hour outside of Paris you can explore and discover the amazing home and gardens of Artist Claude Monet.

  • Croissant Baking Class: On airbnb experiences you can find tons of options for a croissant baking class at a local bakery with a chef. These experiences are usually smaller groups, well priced and make for amazing memories with loved ones (or a great time to make new friends if you're traveling solo).

  • Explore the Jazz Scene: Since the early 1920s, the most iconic Jazz musicians have been welcomed in Parisian underground clubs and theaters. Hit La Gare, Serpent a Plume, or 38 Riv to get a taste of what Paris has to offer.

Places to eat & drink in Paris

Paris Perfection - Places to eat & drink

  • Mokonuts: Serving japanese-lebanese fusion, this tiny bistro takes seasonal ingredients and transforms them into colorful and delicious dishes.

  • Early June: If you're looking for and elegant french meal but are hoping for more relaxed environment, this is for you. Make sure you dive into their natural wine offerings while you're there too.

  • Rigamarole: Serving excellent small plates of yakitori, pastas, and tempura prepared using binchotan and a Japanese grill, this spot is a great pick for a romantic dinner or solo dining experience.

  • Septime: Experience an exceptional fine dining journey at Grébaut's restaurant, where the ever-evolving, plant-based menu showcases creative and carefully curated dishes, rotating every two weeks.

  • Andy Wahloo: This is where you'll want to go if you're looking for a great cocktail and a dance floor you can actually move on.

  • Little Red Door: Tucked away near the Marais, Little Red Door is one of the more well known cocktail bars in not only Paris, but the world. But don't let that deter you. The space is small and intimate and it's worth getting their early to put your name down.
