Curator’s statement
Maui captures everything people dream about when they picture Hawai’i—golden beaches, dramatic volcanic landscapes, and a deep-rooted cultural heritage that invites you to slow down. What makes it special isn’t just the scenery, but the rhythm of island life: sunrises above the clouds, afternoons in the ocean, and evenings watching the sky turn sherbet pink. Whether you’re planning a honeymoon, a multigenerational escape, or a wellness reset, Maui offers both adventure and indulgence in equal measure.

Things to do on Maui

Haleakalā National Park: Watching the sunrise from the summit feels like standing on another planet. Pair it with a guided bike descent or return at sunset for fewer crowds and equally dramatic views.
Road to Hana: This iconic coastal drive is best experienced with a private guide so you can relax and fully enjoy waterfalls, black-sand beaches, and hidden overlooks without worrying about navigation.
Molokini Crater: A crescent-shaped volcanic crater offering some of Hawaii’s clearest snorkeling waters. Morning excursions provide calmer seas and better visibility.
Wailea Beach: Perfect for long morning walks and paddleboarding. The calm waters and golden sand make it one of the island’s most beloved stretches.
Kapalua Coastal Trail: An easy, scenic coastal walk with panoramic ocean views. During winter months, keep an eye out for migrating humpback whales.
Lahaina: Historically a whaling village, Lahaina has long been a cultural hub. While rebuilding efforts continue following the 2023 wildfires, supporting local businesses remains deeply meaningful to the community.
Iao Valley State Monument: A lush, spiritual valley known for the iconic Iao Needle. It’s a peaceful stop to learn about Hawaiian history and natural beauty.
