Day 1: Arrival day

Roman Forum at dusk

Arrive in Rome, check into your preferred hotel, freshen up, grab an espresso at the lobby bar, and head out for exploration! Depending on your homebase neighborhood, meander the streets to stumble upon a surprise hidden gem or beat the dinner crowds, hop on an e-scooter such as Bird or Lime (activated via the app), and head directly to Trastevere.

PM: Stroll the charming cobblestone streets of Trastevere and get on the wait-list for Tonnarello before the line wraps around the corner! Get there before 6 pm and grab a takeaway spritz from a nearby bar to sip on as you wait in line and people-watch.

Day 2: Tours of Rome

Palatine Hill viewpoint overlooking the Roman Forum and Colosseum

AM: After your complimentary breakfast at your preferred partner hotel, start the day with an early small group or private Colosseum tour including the arena entrance, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Finish before noon and grab fresh carbonara at the family owned Ristorante Massenzio Ai Fori.

PM: Arrive to for your pre-arranged guided Vespa tour or moonlit golf cart tour to pass by Rome’s iconic landmarks and learn some of the locals' favorite food spots to check out. You will probably work up an appetite and will be ready to grab pizza at Il Gianfornaio after the tour ends near the Spanish steps.

Day 3: Trevi Fountain

Trevi Fountain before sunrise

AM: You're most likely going to be jet-lagged, and that means it's time to get to the Trevi Fountain before the sun rises and the streets are swamped with tourists. You will not be the only early risers here, I can assure you that! Continue to the elegant Piazza Navona while passing by Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio (the church with the mirror) and the Pantheon. Grab an espresso at Sant' Eustachio Caffe.

PM: It’s now time for your cooking class or food tour! Savor fettucine, ravioli, and tiramisu or local pasta, gelato, and neighborhood hot spots. End your evening by enjoying a twilight spritz at a rooftop bar, such as Oro Bistrot or Hotel Minerva's rooftop bar—but make sure you have a reservation.

Day 4: The Vatican & St. Peter's Basilica

Espresso in Monti

AM: Start your morning with an early visit to the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica or attend your private or small-group tour including the Sistine Chapel. If you are feeling Roman and adventurous, rent a Vespa to ride around the city. (Be sure to have your International driver's license beforehand.)

PM: Head to Via Condotti for high-end fashion-browsing and an espresso at Caffe Greco. Here, you can snap your trendy photo. For your final night in the Eternal City, enjoy a breathtaking sunset from Villa Borghese, where there will most liking be a street performer to illuminate the views and vibes. Oh yeah, one more thing: Do not forget to grab one last gelato.
