Curator’s statement

I felt immediate peace stepping off the plane in Jackson Hole. What a special destination to unplug and make lifelong memories. We had an amazing trip and wouldn't change a thing (other than packing some binoculars!).

Things to do in Jackson, Wyoming

Canoeing on Colter Bay

Jackson Hole Rodeo: The rodeo is so much fun and really allows you to experience the local culture while being surrounded by locals.

Colter Bay Boating: We rented a canoe and had an incredible time. The water was calm and peaceful, and the views were unbelievable.

Jenny Lake: A great hiking spot! You have the option to hike around the entire lake or take the boat shuttle across and go on a shorter hike. We did the boat—gorgeous views—and then hiked to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point.

Taggart Lake Hike: This was an easy three- to four-mile hike with stunning views of the Tetons reflecting off the water.

Go out and catch a sunrise or sunset (or both!). We went to Schwabacher Landing and watched a moose graze while the sun rose behind him. We were also able to see a bear and a coyote around sunset near Oxbow Bend and Willow Flats.

Places to eat & drink in Jackson, Wyoming

Million Dollar Cowboy Bar

D.O.G: Ready-made and delicious breakfast burritos. They’re huge and decently priced!

Glorietta Trattoria: Italian food and excellent service. We went back a second time because it was that good. Highly recommend the vodka sauce pasta (fusilli gigante). We also split the Caesar salad (which was massive), meatballs, broccolini, potatoes, and elk ragù (rye cavatelli).

Million Dollar Cowboy: A fun place to grab a drink! Take a picture on the saddle seats at the bar, play a round of pool, and pop into the gift shop! We tried the huckleberry mules—yum!

Jackson Lake Lodge (Blue Heron Lounge): Breathtaking views and awesome burgers. We also tried the huckleberry ice cream, which was delectable.

Cowboy Coffee: Delicious breakfast and coffee spot with a good variety of options. Another place to try some huckleberry! The specialty coffee, huckleberry mudpot, was a fun one to taste!

Persephone Bakery: Another quaint breakfast/coffee spot! The pastries and ambiance definitely make it worth a visit.

Need to know

You can rent bear spray at the airport or various locations around town, which is more affordable than buying it. Chances are you won't need it, but it's definitely a comfort to have on hand!
