Things to do in Aspen

Here I am shopping with my dogs!
Hiking: There are endless trails to choose from, some directly from town.
Shopping: Aspen offers some of the best shopping in the United States. They have all the designer shops as well as wonderful local boutiques and stores.
Art: From galleries, to the Aspen Art Museum, to the Aspen Art Festival—Aspen is one of my favorite places to view, covet, and buy art. You can learn about new artists as well as see some of the blue-chip artists rare pieces for sale.
Family fun: We take our kids to the Alpine “Breathetaker” Slide in Snowmass every trip and it’s always a blast! We also take advantage of the beautiful parks, playgrounds, splash fountains, and John Denver Sanctuary. For an extended stay, there are a few really great camps you can sign the kids up for. Aspen is so family-friendly!
Bring the dogs! We call Aspen “Our Dogs’ Annual Vacation.” Our dogs live it up when they are in Aspen. The hotels have special dog amenities and they offer treats at every store and gallery we walk into. We have so much fun bringing them around town with us.
Paradise for ice cream and music at the end of each day: It is a scene, the line is long, young people are performing music of some genre, and you get to rub shoulders with the who’s-who of Aspen.
Ride bikes along the Rio Grande River for beautiful scenery and a wonderful way to start your day.
Places to eat & drink in Aspen

Delicious starter salads at new restaurant—Wayan
Aspen has so many new great restaurants! There are also the classics! Here are my favs:
Coffee
Felix, next to the Jerome, has delicious coffee and pastries and breakfast sandwiches.
Lunch
Clarke’s for a chic salad, lobster roll, and rose lunch.
Big Wrap for a quick, delicious wrap after a hike
Dinner
Sant Ambroeus is new to Aspen and it is delicious food in an even more delicious atmosphere.
Betula: Delicious menu items, beautiful setting, and great celeb sightings.
Ellina is an under-the-radar Italian spot with great homemade pasta. Easy for the entire family.
Wayan is a new restaurant we tried that offered delicious Southeast Asian-inspired dishes for a chic and fun dinner.
