Curator’s statement
My husband and I honeymooned in Whistler in 2022, and have dreamed of going back ever since! As avid skiers and snowboarders, hitting the slopes at the largest ski resort in North America was a major bucket list item that we were thrilled to check off. While skiing was the main event, everything else we experienced there turned out to be just as remarkable. We are adventure seekers that also look forward to R&R when traveling. Whistler offers this ideal mix with its breathtaking views, ample outdoor activities and countless unique opportunities to recharge apres adventure!

We rode a tandem snowmobile
Snowmobile tours with Canadian Wilderness: Go on a guided snowmobiling tour through the gorgeous wilderness of the greater Whistler area! Tours are available for riders of all abilities, with different levels of exhilaration, ranging from easy-going trails to the rugged backcountry.
Scandinave Spa: Partake in the “thermal journey and 60 minute specialized massage” to get in tune with your body and the healing it’s calling for in a way like never before. Immerse yourself in a hot tub, sauna or steam room. Followed up by a cold plunge! Then find a meditative state while your body returns to its natural state in any of the available spa rooms. Put the cherry on top of this experience with a 60 minute specialized massage.
Ski Whistler Blackcomb: Ski at the largest and number-one ski resort in North America. The terrain is unlike any other, yet the mountains have something to offer for all levels!
Whistler Olympic Park Tour: An awesome 2.5 hour tour of Whistler Olympic Park where you get to see the historical points of interest where the Winter Olympics were held in Whistler.
Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre: If you’re spending time in Whistler, visiting the SLCC is a must. Learn about the Indigenous cultures (Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation) of this region and gain an appreciative perspective of the tourism you embark on in Whistler!
Take a yoga class taught by local instructors or indulge in a Thai-style massage, or a reiki healing session.
Snowshoe or XC Ski at the Whistler Olympic Park, following well-marked trails and pristine views.

Bar Oso for tapas, charcuterie and cocktails galore! Nothing says apres-ski like a picky plate and a festive cocktail!
Visit Rocky Mtn Chocolate, a famous Canadian chocolatier for delectable, handmade treats! Hint: makes for a great snack on the lift, or souvenir to bring home.
Need to know
Whistler is worth the hop and skip it takes to get there, but is a little distance away from airports. SEA (Seattle) is about 4.5 hours away, and YVR (Vancouver) is about 90 minutes away. You will need to rent a car or other transportation service. This is something I can help you with!
While this guide includes some of my favorites for winter experiences, the list is never-ending of things to do year-round!
