Things to do in Buenos Aires

Mercado San Telmo: We loved wandering the Mercado San Telmo, a treasure trove of antiques, artisan goods, and amazing leather shopping. It’s the kind of place you could spend hours exploring—every corner bursting with character and charm.
Mate Bar experience: We dove into one of Argentina’s most beloved traditions at a Mate Bar, where we learned about the art of brewing and sharing mate tea. It’s not just a drink—it’s a ritual and a symbol of friendship, hospitality, and community. A beautiful peek into Argentine culture.
Tango & nightlife: No trip to Buenos Aires is complete without tango. We found ourselves swept into a secret tango show, tucked away behind an unmarked door—dim lights, live music, and pure passion. The kind of magic that makes you fall in love with this city all over again.
An epic finale: And just when we thought the trip couldn’t get any better—Guns N’ Roses live in Buenos Aires! The crowd, the music, the energy—it was the perfect rock ’n’ roll ending to an unforgettable week.
Places to eat & drink in Buenos Aires

The best steak of my life
El Federal Bar: An adorable, historic corner bar in San Telmo with old-world charm. Great for a casual drink or an afternoon people-watch.
Parrilla Peña: A must for traditional Argentine steak. No frills, just perfectly cooked meat, great wine, and the kind of local vibe that makes you feel like you belong.
La Brigada (La Boca): Legendary parrilla where the steak is so tender they cut it with a spoon. A true Buenos Aires institution.
Fogón Cocina Uptown: A modern culinary experience where fine dining meets interactive theater—and every bite tells a story.
Florería Atlántico: One of the coolest bars in the world, hidden beneath a working flower shop. Step through the fridge door to find an atmospheric speakeasy serving creative cocktails inspired by Argentina’s immigrant heritage.
Uptown & The Bronx: A fun late-night hangout with great music, local energy, and strong cocktails to keep the night going.
Need to know
Buenos Aires is a city that gets under your skin—where every meal, melody, and moment feels alive. From the smoky aroma of parrillas to the rhythm of tango on cobblestone streets, we left with full hearts (and maybe a few extra pounds).
If it’s not on your travel list yet—it absolutely should be.
