Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Angger Asetiti to book your trip.

Day 1: Checking in & sunset cocktails

Gorgeous sunset in Labuan Bajo

Take an afternoon flight from Bali or Jakarta to arrive at the hotel for check-in and equipment sizing for the upcoming diving days (certification prior to departure is recommended). Then head off for a sunset cocktail on the beach. All recommended hotels are perfectly situated on the west side, facing the western coast of the island.

Day 2: Dive briefings, underwater wonders & seaside evenings

Underwater scenery

In the morning, there is typically a briefing about the dive site. The National Park is divided into three parts: south, central, and north. Most of the advanced dive sites are on the north side, so if you are a beginner diver, simply notify your dive guide.

The central part is where the magic happens. It has the most dive sites, many of them beginner-friendly, so almost anyone can join the adventure. Visibility is usually stunning—think crystal-clear waters, schooling fish swirling around you, and some of the most colorful, pristine reefs you will ever see. This is also where dive operators head for the best chance to spot sharks, graceful sea turtles, and majestic manta rays gliding through the blue. Every dive here feels like discovering something unforgettable.

The boat usually goes out for 2–3 dives per day, with lunch provided on board. You will return to the resort afterward, and a stroll around town is recommended. The town is small but offers a wide variety of restaurants to suit your taste.

Day 3: Padar peaks, Komodo dragons & flying fox sunsets

Padar viewpoint

Moving to day three, you can sign up for a day trip to visit the iconic viewpoint of Padar, witness the legendary Komodo dragon in its natural habitat, and end the day with a sunset show as thousands of flying foxes take to the sky.

Day 4: Woven traditions, village life & hidden caves

Tenun ikat, traditional sarong from Flores

On the last day, take it easy by visiting a traditional tenun ikat workshop. This ancient local craft sees the weavers—affectionately called mama—weaving thread by thread to create sarongs with the most iconic patterns, a process that can take months to complete. These workshops are located just 25 minutes outside of Labuan Bajo. Nearby, Melo Village offers a glimpse into traditional Flores architecture. If you head back toward the north side, you can also explore Rangko Cave, a stunning water cave reachable by local boat.

Need to know

For those who don’t dive, the top reef of many dive sites are stunning to snorkel, too.
