Things to do in Deer Valley

Skiing at Deer Valley
Skiing
Deer Valley is one of the only North American resorts to not allow snowboarders, and daily ticket sales are capped, making it feel more intimate. The ski school is also top rated and will keep your child busy and happy all day long. Deer Valley was one of the ski mountains used in the 2002 Winter Olympics, so you know it's legit!
Snow tubing
Woodward Park City is the place for tubing! They have seven lanes, including Utah's longest at 1,200 feet. Go after a morning of skiing, on a day off, or even for night tubing. Your family will remember this experience for sure!
Spa
Nothing feels better after a day of skiing than a massage, and Deer Valley has some of the nicest, most luxe spas you can find! You can't go wrong with Spa Montage or Remede Spa at the St. Regis, but for a full-day spa experience, definitely choose Stein Eriksen Lodge Spa. In downtown Park City, check out the sleek Spa Pendry.
Utah Crater
A short drive from Deer Valley, in Midway, is the Utah Crater. This 95-degree geothermal hot spring at the Homestead Resort allows you to explore the crater by scuba, snorkel, or just swimming. Definitely a unique adventure!
Shopping
Downtown Park City is filled with adorable shops and galleries. Walking up and down Main Street definitely gives you that Old West vibe. Some favorites are Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (try the handmade fudge) and Tresor Park City, which has an amazing mineral collection.

Après-ski
For a great kid-friendly après-ski venue, don't miss the free hot chocolate bar at the St. Regis—your kids will absolutely love the ride on the funicular from the base of ski school to the lobby bar! Edger's at Snow Park Lodge offers more traditional après scenes with tons of sports on the TVs and comfort food classics like chili, wings, and nachos.
Grub Steakhouse
A local favorite thats's been around forever, this laid-back Western steakhouse is great for families. They have large portions and an unpretentious atmosphere.
Grappa
A bit more upscale option for Italian, but the food is amazing and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Reservations required—ask to sit by the window!
Yuki Yama
A solid option for Japanese fare in Park City with a casual atmosphere. Kids will be thrilled to see ramen on the menu!
Special dining experiences
Finally, try one of Deer Valley's more unique dining experiences. Whether it's riding up to The Viking Yurt on a snowcat for a Nordic-inspired tasting menu, taking a horse-drawn sleigh ride to a Western-style dinner at Snowed Inn Sleigh Company, or fireside dining at Empire Canyon Lodge for a four-course fondue dinner, your kids will definitely be enchanted!
Need to know
Unlike other ski mountains out west, Deer Valley is only a 45-minute drive from the airport, making it an easy trip, especially when traveling with kids. For more added convenience, leave your skis at home and have one of Fora's trusted ski partners meet you at your accommodations with rentals when you arrive!
