Curator’s statement
Aruba is one of those rare places where everything feels easy, bright, and beautifully alive, living up to being “One Happy Island.” People travel here for the turquoise water alone, and the beaches are wide, soft, and clean, with steady breezes that make the sun feel gentle instead of overwhelming. Come to Aruba because it feels like a perfect balance—relaxing but adventurous, familiar but unique, small enough to explore but big enough to surprise you. It’s the kind of place where the water resets you, the landscape inspires you, and the rhythm of the island makes you want to stay longer than you planned.

Things to do on Aruba

One of Aruba's natural bridges
Sink your toes in the sand.
Palm Beach: Palm Beach is lively and social, lined with resorts, beach clubs, water sports, and restaurants. It’s ideal if you want a mix of swimming, jet skiing, beach lounging, and easy access to food and drinks all day long.
Eagle Beach: Often ranked among the best beaches in the world—powdery white sand, calm turquoise water, perfect for swimming and sunsets.
Baby Beach: A calm, shallow lagoon at the southern tip of the island—perfect for families or floating for hours.
Arashi Beach: A quieter beach with soft sand and good snorkeling, plus a view of the lighthouse.
Snorkel or dive: Try Boca Catalina or Mangel Halto—calm, clear water, and colorful fish make these top snorkeling spots, whether you go early morning or late afternoon. Great for beginners and some of the best snorkeling on the island.
Explore the North Coast and Arikok Park: Hike or take a 4x4 through desert landscapes, cacti forests, caves, rock drawings, and dramatic coastline. A totally different side of Aruba.
Natural bridges: Aruba’s natural bridges are dramatic rock formations carved by wind and waves along the island’s rugged north coast. These formations highlight Aruba’s wild, untamed side—best visited for ocean views, strong waves, and a glimpse of the island’s raw geology.
California Lighthouse: Climb or visit at sunset for incredible panoramic views of Aruba’s coastline and dunes.
Wander Oranjestad: Colorful Dutch-Caribbean architecture, shops, restaurants, and a relaxed waterfront. Great for an afternoon stroll.
Try windsurfing or kitesurfing at Fisherman’s Huts: Aruba’s steady trade winds make it ideal for wind sports. You can take a lesson or just watch the action.
Visit the Butterfly Farm: A peaceful experience with hundreds of butterflies—great for photos and surprisingly calming.

Bugaloe Overwater Bar & Grill: A lively pier bar perched over the water, famous for its fun atmosphere, colorful drinks, live music, and panoramic beach views.

Big Mama Grill: A no-frills local favorite serving hearty Caribbean comfort food with bold flavors and a welcoming, home-style atmosphere.
North End Pub & Grill: A casual, laid-back spot known for comfort food, cold drinks, and a friendly local vibe, great for watching sports or unwinding after the beach.
Drunk’n Burger: A popular burger joint serving bold, creative burgers and loaded fries in a fun, no-frills setting perfect for a quick, satisfying bite.
Need to know
Most beaches are public, even in front of resorts. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times for fewer crowds and softer light. Many beach bars stay casual—cover-ups and flip-flops are welcome. Sunset is peak time, so arrive early or plan ahead for popular spots. Eagle Beach and Palm Beach are very walkable, but renting a UTV or 4x4 is really fun!
