Need to know
Plan hikes early as popular trails get crowded fast, so starting at sunrise helps with both parking and enjoying the views without a rush.
Hydrate more than you think! The dry desert air can sneak up on you; always carry more water than you expect.
Wear the right shoes. Sedona trails can be steep and rocky, so good grip makes a huge difference, this is not the place for casual sneakers.
Use the shuttle when possible as parking at trailheads fill up quickly. The shuttle is free; supplies water too and runs to all the popular spots.
Make dinner reservations in advance, hot spots fill up quickly, especially during peak seasons. Catch a sunset or sunrise, views are unreal!
Mix adventure with downtown, enjoy hikes with relaxing experiences so you do not get burned out.
