Curator’s statement
Bodrum is my second home, and that is not something I say lightly. I have spent my summers here long enough to know which cove the locals anchor in when the winds pick up, which village fish restaurant serves the day’s best catch before it reaches any menu, and exactly which hillside terrace faces the precise angle of the Aegean at golden hour. What began as a personal love affair with this jagged, olive-scented coastline has grown into a professional expertise that no guidebook can replicate. Bodrum is where the ancient world, and the ultra-modern collide in the most seductive way imaginable: a 15th-century crusader castle framing a harbor lined with superyachts, pine forests descending to translucent turquoise water, and world-class wellness sanctuaries carved into the hillsides above it all. Because Bodrum is home to me, every recommendation I make for my clients carries the weight of lived experience, personal relationships with the people who run these properties, and a genuine desire to share something I treasure. Booking through me is not just a convenience; it is access to a place I know the way only a local can.

Things to do in Bodrum, Turkey

Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum
Full-day wellness immersion at Six Senses Kaplankaya
Perched on a dramatic hillside above a secluded Aegean cove, Six Senses Kaplankaya houses one of the world’s most celebrated spas, spanning over 10,000 square meters with integrative programs that blend Turkish hammam traditions with biohacking, sleep science, and longevity diagnostics. The resort’s caliber is perhaps best evidenced by the names it attracts: Dr. Andrew Weil, the Harvard-educated pioneer of integrative medicine, founder of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, and bestselling author of 15 books on health, has chosen Kaplankaya as the setting for his Harvest retreats. When one of the world’s most respected voices in natural and preventive medicine selects a property for his own teaching, it says everything about the standard of the place. Day guest access can be arranged for non-staying clients, and multi-day residential programs are ideal for clients seeking a transformative health experience on the Aegean.
Private gulet charter along the turquoise coast
A traditional Turkish gulet yacht, privately chartered for a half or full day, is the single most quintessential Bodrum experience, sailing between hidden coves of impossibly clear water, uninhabited islands, and ancient Aegean ruins that no road will ever reach. Many of my preferred hotel partners can arrange fully crewed charters with onboard dining, water toys, and complete privacy for discerning guests.
Executive health screening, hair restoration, or dental excellence in Bodrum and Istanbul
Turkey is among the world’s most respected destinations for elective medical care, and a stay in Bodrum pairs beautifully with world-class clinical services. On hair restoration, even American doctors openly acknowledge that Turkish surgeons are in a league of their own, delivering results that exceed anything available in the U.S. or Europe at a fraction of the cost, and the entire procedure can be completed in just one to two days. Clients can access a comprehensive executive health screening, a hair transplant at a JCI-accredited facility, or a full smile restoration with leading cosmetic dental specialists right here in Bodrum, without ever leaving the peninsula. For those who wish to explore Istanbul’s renowned clinics as well, it is an easy one-hour flight away and can be seamlessly added to any itinerary. Because I hold direct relationships with Turkey’s top doctors, I coordinate the clinical leg of your journey alongside your resort stay with complete discretion, preferred scheduling, VIP perks, and seamless end-to-end concierge support.
Sunrise yoga and hammam at Mandarin Oriental Bodrum
Begin your day at the Mandarin Oriental with a private yoga session on the terrace at sunrise, followed by a deeply restorative hammam in the 2,700-square-meter spa, as close to a perfect morning as the Turkish Riviera offers. When evening comes, the resort is also home to two of the most celebrated restaurant names in the world: Hakkasan, the Michelin-selected Chinese restaurant perched in an open-air setting above the bay, and ROKA, the acclaimed Japanese robatayaki concept serving dishes prepared over an outdoor robata grill with handcrafted cocktails by the Aegean.
Exploration of Yalikavak Marina and the Peninsula Villages
Yalikavak Marina, on the northwestern tip of the peninsula, is one of the most glamorous marinas in Europe, lined with superyachts, international boutiques, and restaurants from Zuma to Bagatelle. The villages of the Bodrum Peninsula, including Gümüşlük, Gündoğan, and Göltürkbükü, each have their own character and are best explored by private transfer. Ask me which village is worth your time on any given day, and I will tell you exactly where to go.
Detox and diagnostic retreat at TheLifeCo Bodrum
TheLifeCo Bodrum is one of Turkey's most respected integrative health centers, and their physician-supervised Weight Loss Program is among the most effective and sought-after in Europe. Designed around personalized nutrition, the program combines raw-vegan meal plans, detox juices, and therapeutic treatments including ozone therapy, infrared sauna, colon cleansing, and daily oxygen therapy, all within a serene Aegean coastal setting. Programs run from 4 to 21 days and are tailored to each guest from day one by an on-site medical team. Clients consistently report losing significant weight while leaving with a completely transformed relationship with food and their body. It can be seamlessly woven into any Bodrum itinerary, and I can coordinate priority enrollment and program customization directly.
An evening by the sea in Gümüşlük, above the sunken ancient city
Gümüşlük is the most magical village on the Bodrum Peninsula and one of its best-kept secrets: a tiny fishing hamlet built above the remains of the ancient city of Myndos, whose submerged ruins lie just below the surface of the water you are eating beside. You walk down worn stone steps to reach the seafront restaurants, the sea lapping at the foundations, the air thick with salt and wild herbs, and the sense that you are dining somewhere genuinely mythic. On a quiet evening, with fresh fish, cold local wine, and the ruins of a lost civilization glowing beneath the water at your feet, Gumusluk delivers the kind of experience that no amount of luxury can manufacture.

KITCHEN by Osman Sezener at The Bodrum EDITION
Chef Osman Sezener’s flagship restaurant has held its Michelin Star for three consecutive years (2024, 2025, and 2026) and is the only Michelin-starred dining experience on the Bodrum Peninsula, showcasing hyper-local Aegean and Anatolian ingredients sourced from the hotel’s own gardens and neighboring farms. Reservations are essential and should be made well in advance, particularly during high season; booking through me ensures priority access.
BRAVA at The Bodrum EDITION
The EDITION’s all-fresco Italian restaurant, led by Michelin-starred chef Stefano Ciotti, is a sophisticated evening destination where elevated Italian cuisine meets Aegean atmosphere, with live cultural programming from internationally recognized artists making it as much an experience as a meal. The BRAVA Bar’s cocktail program, drawing on both local and Italian influences, is one of the best on the peninsula.
Zuma, Yalikavak Marina
The Bodrum outpost of the globally revered Japanese-inspired restaurant is perfectly placed at Yalikavak Marina, where a waterfront table at sunset is among the most coveted seats on the Turkish Riviera. The robata grill and signature cocktail program are consistent with Zuma’s international standard, making it a reliable choice for clients who value both quality and familiarity in an unfamiliar setting.
Maçakizi Restaurant, Göltürkbükü
The restaurant at the effortlessly cool Maçakizi hotel in Göltürkbükü is a beloved institution on the Bodrum social calendar, attracting a discerning international crowd with its refined take on Aegean cuisine, fresh seafood, and a natural wine list that genuinely reflects the region. The setting, a waterfront terrace with unobstructed sea views, is unmatched for a long, leisurely lunch.
Buddha-Bar Beach at Caresse Resort
One of the most stylish day-to-night destinations on the Bodrum coastline, Buddha-Bar Beach at the Caresse Luxury Collection Resort offers its signature Asian-fusion menu and signature cocktails in a beachfront setting designed for those who want their wellness days to end beautifully. The transition from afternoon lounging to evening dining here is seamless and entirely without effort.
Sait, Yalikavak Marina
A Michelin Guide-listed institution on the Bodrum Peninsula, Sait has been serving the finest Turkish seafood at Yalikavak Marina for over 30 years, and remains the most soulful and authentic dining experience in the marina. The day’s catch is displayed on ice as you arrive, the mezze spread is exhaustive, and a terrace table cantilevered above the sea as the sun sets over the superyachts is one of those evenings you will simply not forget. Reservations are essential and I can arrange preferred seating directly.
ROKA, Mandarin Oriental Bodrum
The Bodrum outpost of the globally acclaimed Japanese robatayaki concept brings one of London and Dubai’s most celebrated dining experiences to the Aegean coastline. Dishes are prepared over an outdoor robata grill at the heart of the restaurant in an intimate dinner-only setting with uninterrupted sea views, and the handcrafted cocktail program is exceptional. It is one of the finest evenings you can have on the peninsula without leaving the Mandarin Oriental grounds.
Limon Restaurant, Gümüşlük
For an authentic counterpoint to the high-gloss marina scene, the village of Gümüşlük and its waterfront fish restaurants represent the soul of the Aegean dining tradition. Limon is among the most beloved, with tables set on a wooden platform over the water, locally caught fish grilled simply, and a quietness that feels genuinely rare on the peninsula in summer.
Need to know
Getting there
Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV) is served by direct flights from major European hubs including London, Frankfurt, Paris, and Amsterdam, typically from April through October. Turkish Airlines offers year-round connections via Istanbul, which adds only a short layover and is often the most convenient routing for clients arriving from longer distances. Private jet arrivals can be arranged with advance coordination through our team.
Best time to visit
Late May through June and September through October offer the ideal combination of warm Aegean temperatures, calm seas, and a more serene atmosphere than the peak July and August weeks. For clients prioritizing wellness programs and clinical services, shoulder season allows for more attentive, personalized care and easier access to coveted bookings. July and August are the most vibrant and social, best suited to clients who enjoy the energy of the high season.
Discretion & privacy
Bodrum’s leading properties are well-practiced in the art of discretion. Amanruya in particular, with its freestanding pavilion structure and private beach, is the peninsula’s gold standard for clients requiring true seclusion. For clients combining clinical visits with leisure, our team coordinates directly with wellness and medical providers to ensure confidential scheduling, private transport, and seamless transitions between appointments and resort time.
Currency & practicalities
Turkish Lira (TRY). Major luxury properties, restaurants, and clinical facilities all accept international cards and often quote rates in Euros or USD for international clients. English is widely spoken across the hospitality and private medical sectors. Entry is visa-free for citizens of many countries for up to 90 days; an e-Visa is available online for others and can be arranged within minutes.
Always book through your advisor
Booking your Bodrum experience through me unlocks a level of access and care that is simply not available through any other channel. My preferred partner relationships with the peninsula’s top properties deliver complimentary room category upgrades, daily breakfast, resort credits, and flexible arrival and departure arrangements. Beyond accommodation, I hold direct relationships with Bodrum’s leading wellness facilities, enabling priority program enrollment, preferred scheduling, and coordinated transitions between resort and clinical visits. Whether you are traveling for a wellness reset, a post-procedure recovery, or simply the finest summer of your life, every detail is handled with the personal attention and absolute discretion your journey requires.
