Things to do on Caye Caulker

  • Snorkel at Hol Chan—there are so many great companies to go with. A must-do on the island.

  • Hang out at the Split—music, Belizean beer, and views. It makes for a fabulous afternoon.

  • Feed the Tarpon—a sight of their own!

  • Kayak or paddleboard—take in a different view of the island. Many hotels offer kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards as part of your stay.

  • Take in a sunset at Sunset Bar—get there early to secure a spot.

  • Bike to the North Side—Take the short ferry ride to the north side and bike around the less developed side of the island.

  • Stroll down Front Street—the street is filled with vendors, shops, and snacks.

  • Chill at Sip & Dip—spend the day sitting in the blue water with a drink in hand.

  • Explore the island on a golf cart—bonus points if you take a pitstop to see the seahorses.

  • Go Slow—follow the island’s motto and take it all in.

  • Chef Kareem’s Unbelizeable Lunch—a top-rated lunch option located near the Split.

  • Ice and Beans Cafe—go for the coffee, stay for the atmosphere.

  • Sunset Bar—get there early to snag prime sunset views.

  • Namaste Cafe—breakfast with a side of yoga.

  • Errol’s House of Fry Jacks—try a signature Belizean Fry Jack. A must-do in Belize!

Caye Caulker is not a luxury resort island—expect authentic experiences with beautiful views. There are two main ways to get to the island from Belize City—ferry or a puddle jumper flight.
