Curator’s statement
I first visited Disney World twice as a child, creating memories that my family and I still treasure today. This past June, I had the joy of returning for the first time in ten years—this time to celebrate my honeymoon with my husband! As lifelong Disney fans, we were able to experience the magic in an entirely new way, and it was truly unforgettable. Disney World is a destination that continues to enchant at every stage of life, and we are already looking forward to the day we can return and create even more memories.

Things to do in Orlando, Florida

Disney’s World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot. This is the view from the Japan Pavilion.
Rope drop: Arriving at the park gates before they open so you can ride a popular ride with hardly any wait time. You also have a better chance of meeting more characters early in the morning.
Magic Hours: Taking advantage of certain parks being open later for guests staying onsite. You get shorter ride waiting times and the parks are way less crowded.
Resort hopping: Using your arrival day/departure day/any day to visit different resorts. Great opportunity to try resort-specific food & drink items and shop at their little shops.
Drink and eat around the World at Epcot: Take an afternoon/evening in Epcot to try all the fun drinks and snacks the different countries have to offer.
Taking advantage of Lighting Lanes - Spend a little extra money to save a LOT of time in the lines by getting a Lighting Lane pass.
Places to eat & drink in Orlando, Florida

Kristoff Kaffe, Viking Coffee, School Bread, and Mickey Cinnamon Roll at Kringla Bakeri
.Block & Hans at America Adventure in Epcot’s World Showcase: They have AMAZING pretzel nuggets and beer cheese. It’s also a kiosk so you can get your food almost immediately.
Crepes A Emporter by La Creperie de Paris in Epcot’s World Showcase: A fantastic place for a quick, yet delicious crepe, with a variety of choices. You can even get a scoop of ice cream on your crepe if you like.
Yak and Yeti in the Asia region of Animal Kingdom: Great stop for some quick high-quality Asian fare. My favorite item is the honey sesame chicken and rice.
Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort: Available via reservation for breakfast or dinner, a great place to meet Lilo and Stitch while enjoying true Polynesian foods and flavors.
Kringla Bakeri in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase: My favorite drink is the Kristoff Kaffe, a non-alcoholic frozen coffee treat blended with coffee-chocolate sauce topped with a crunchy coffee-chocolate garnish. You can also get a variety of pastries, such as their infamous school bread or a Mickey Cinnamon roll.

Tips for conquering Disney World in one weekend (Friday-Sunday):
Get as many Lightning Lanes as you can: We truly could not have had the weekend we did if we had not gotten Lighting Lanes for all of our top priority rides. It is worth the money because you truly save so much time.
Stay on property: You will save so much travel time by staying on the WDW property and taking advantage of their complimentary bus system. Otherwise, you will have to get a rental car or pay for Ubers going there and back each day.
Pick your three favorite parks: As much fun as all four of the parks are, tackling all four in three days is asking a lot of your body, energy, and mental state. We really enjoyed just focusing on one park a day without the stress of trying to fit in that fourth one.
