My Story
Ontario-based slow traveler. Always on the lookout for great food, great coffee, and great beer. Befriended a new cat on four continents and counting.
Travel Style
I love being a solo female traveler and find my niche in helping others take the leap into solo travel or small-group travel. My favorite destinations are ones that are a little off the beaten path, and I love to take the time to really immerse myself in a destination. I hold a bachelor’s degree in conflict studies and human rights, and this has informed my travel style—I love a comeback story and have really found my footing in places that have maybe been a little bit troubled in the not-so distant past. I’m a sucker for a view and never pass up an opportunity to be close to the water, both at home and on the road.

Travel Advisor provided choices as requested by my preferences. Was able to obtain booking with no issues. I had already looked at some hotel prices prior to contacting our Travel advisor. Answered all of my questions.

A Solo Woman’s Guide to Medellín
One of the things I love about Medellín is that it is a place that feels hopeful. Very few places in the world have felt like places trying to do better than their reputation may demand. Formerly one of the most dangerous cities in the world, Medellín holds a special place in my heart as a city where, as a woman traveling alone, I felt like I was being looked out for. Medellín has modern public transportation, which makes sightseeing a breeze, and local guides are plentiful and easily bookable. I loved that this Andean city boasts a bustling urban landscape nestled in a lush tropical rainforest.
