How do I describe myself, hmm. I think I am funny and boisterous. I come from humble backgrounds, and yet proud people. My family is as diverse as they are explorative. My mother is from the deep south and my father is from Kuwait. I grew up knowing about the Arab culture but never visiting. My step father was from Scotland and I was honored to visit his home. I have a deep love of travel and history. I want to walk the steps of the ancients. I remember going to Ellis Island and being more interested in the older buildings, which had not been restored. I wanted to see those places and understand what it was like to come to a new world with expectations and hope and fear. My eagerness to travel has never left me. I grew up on the border of Mexico, and crossing into another country was common. We often lived in both worlds at once, separated by a small river and a bridge. I intend to share my love of travel with my children. My step-daughter has already traveled extensively with our family. My daughter continues to have the same passion for travel that I have, and we plan for many adventures as the years allow. My husband just tags along for the joy and the fun of it all. He is excited to see all the new places we can make good trouble!
