A former finance exec turned travel curator and founder of Get Uncomfy, helping travelers meaningfully connect with the people and places they visit.

My Travel Style

I’m all about connection and contrast—connection to the people, culture, and destination, and contrast between luxe and local, adventure and relaxation, the familiar and the unknown. Think: a wine-paired tasting menu one night and street food the next. A five-star hotel followed by a cozy homestay. I’ve traveled to 31 countries (and counting!), lived and worked abroad, and spent months on the road deeply immersed in cultures far from home. I know firsthand that the most meaningful travel happens just outside our comfort zone, and I love helping others find that sweet spot for themselves!

Shannon booked my group with ease - I gave her a budget, number of people staying, where our concert venue was, and let her do her magic. She booked a phenomenal hotel with perfect reservation that exceeded expectations. She even tried to get us a room upgrade and when they said there were no available rooms, she was able to get us champagne to celebrate the night. It’s the little touches that go a long way!
