Travel Style
Do you enjoy traveling like a local and immersing yourself in local culture and food experiences? Then you’re in the right place! A few guarantees and characteristics of the personalized travel itineraries that I will build for you: Life is too short to eat and drink badly. The itineraries will always include restaurant recommendations based on what you like. For city trips: Rooftop recommendations will always be included, as these are the best spots to overlook the city. Visits to local markets (both food and non-food). You only need to pack—I plan! A worry-less vacation awaits you. Road trip ahead? I always plan a nice viewpoint or food spot along the way. And much more! It is important to find the perfect balance between experiencing new things and relaxing on vacation—both preferably while enjoying the culinary delights of the region you’re in. My expertise is in: the Mediterranean and Europe (Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, and Croatia), but also more northern countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Austria, and Switzerland; the United States; and Asia (India, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Bhutan).

We had an amazing experience working with Loes. She helped us discover incredible local places and hidden gems that we would have never found on our own.

We booked our holiday in Thailand through Loes van Poppel. We are absolutely delighted with everything she managed to arrange for us:
In both Bangkok and Hua Hin, she booked two excellent hotels for us right in the heart of these cities. We were also offered all sorts of extras at those hotels that we certainly wouldn’t have received had we booked directly via the hotels’ websites. She also responded well to our wishes. For instance, she organised a wonderful bike ride for us on a small island in the river in the centre of Bangkok, an impressive boat trip along the river, and bought us tickets to attend a Muay Thai boxing match in Bangkok’s oldest stadium (the Rajadamnern Stadium). She also arranged our transport between Bangkok and Hua Hin perfectly. We got to know Loes as a dedicated, creative and knowledgeable ‘personal travel assistant’, and will certainly use her services again next time.

Booked this hotel through my travel advisor and loved the recommendation. Since I was not familiar with Rotterdam, I trusted her advice fully. The hotel was great, centrally located and the room was spotless. I was even given a last minute upgrade to a suite which was a nice touch.

Loes was very helpful with our booking in Stockholm. An upgrade was arranged and we got a little present and a note which was set up in our hotelroom to celebrate our honeymoon, very thoughtful! We would really recommend Loes as an travel agent for a stress free holiday experience.

The last nights of our Thailand trip were truly unforgettable, all thanks to Loes’ amazing tip to stay at the Marriott. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a super luxurious room: complete with a bathtub, direct pool access, fresh fruit waiting for us, and the most delicious and extensive breakfast. We couldn’t have imagined a better way to end our adventure. Highly recommended!
