I grew up flying standby as both of my parents were airline pilots. This often meant heading to the airport and boarding whichever plane had open seats, making the destination a surprise. While I now plan my travels more carefully, this upbringing instilled in me a deep sense of adventure. To me, the perfect vacation formula combines adventure, relaxation in luxury and city exploring. For example, I recently hiked the W Trek in Patagonia, tasted wine in Mendoza, ate my way through Buenos Aires and relaxed on the beaches of Uruguay.
